My 10 years old has started sleep walking and screaming at early in the night

This happens one hour after he goes to sleep. When he screams he is not awake and screams more if I try to sooth him. Anybody has any advice on what I could do to sooth him and to stop this. This is happening every night for 2 weeks.

In addition to what the other responder said, you might look and see if he is eating anything different near bed time. I have not experienced this, but I hear it is common. I know the worst nightmare I ever had was right after eating a huge kosher dill pickle. I am not making light of this, because it worries and disturbs your whole family. I usually think of food difficulties in relation to almost any ailment.
