My parents liked to watched western movies before. And they got our names from celebrities name they had liked very much. Actually for all of the siblings in the family. So we don't have a native local names.

My mom wanted me to have a different name because it seemed that everyone in my family relatively had the same name, or names that sounded pretty familiar. She looked in a baby book and found my name and liked it. But, to make me more original, she spelled my name differently.

My name is Francesco. My parents gave this name to me because the name of my grandfather was Francesco. Once here in Italia there was this tradition: every child had the name of one of his/her grandparents, but now only a few people are going on this tradition, me, my brother, and my sisters have the name of our four grandparents, but me and my sisters didn't give the name of my parents to our children. The name of my child is Giuliano, I gave him this name to remember the name of the last Pagan Roman empereor, Julian the Great. The name of my father is Gennaro and the name of my father in law is Filippo, as you can see my son doesn't have the name of his grandfathers.

Remember Name is the most important thimg for anybody and everybody. Thats the word you like the most. It grooms up your identity. Your personality and character is built on that. Have you heard, many people got very famous soon after changing their name. Please try to find out as to what character similarities you and your grandmother has, since you got her name. I can describe anybody's personality just by knowing the name. Best wishes
