Well, the first word that my first daughter said was "mama." My second daughter, who is now almost 4 months old, has been saying "good girl" for a few weeks now, and she is trying to say "I love you." She has been cooing a lot and babbling. She has also said "mom."

Even though I was the one staying home with my kids, both of mine said "Dada" first. I have a cute story about my son's first word. He was in his Johnny Jumper in the kitchen, and I discovered one of my frog candle's eyes had been broken. I looked at my son and asked him who did it, not expecting an answer. He said to me "Da". So not only did he speak his fist word, but he got daddy in trouble. :)
