Is the wrapper it comes in gold plated? Is there a piece of gold in the centre as part of a not so fondant centre? Er I'm stuck for other ideas, 1,000? Strewth people who buy these are either mad or stinking rich! I don't even like brownies in the first place, even if I did I would take my custome elsewhere. Unless you get 1,000 brownies for the money. What a rip off. They must sell otherwise how else would they get away with charging that amount? Beggers belief!

Is there a diamond or something in it? A bar in Manhattan has a martini like that.

i don't know what's so special about it and i wouldn't pay that for a brownie. but i also saw on tv once where a martini bar was selling a martini for 10,000.00. i forget what the drink was called but there was a real diamond at the bottom of the glass, in the drink. hope whoever paid that much for a drink didn't accidently drink the diamond.

I would not buy it. But for the rich people, they need to be pampered and to show off. They would do it without batting an eye. It is probably a mix, it wouldn't surprise me. Hehhehehe. Nothing worth $1,000 for sure. Just a status for people that need to throw out money.

that is too funny, what if it really is a mix? Do you think they will ever reveal the recipe? Thats a good point that you have made because who really knows, only they do.

I am from BC and our "special" brownies don't cost that much!! I must be cheap because my full expendature for the holiday(other than traveling costs) would not be $1000.

hey i must be cheap too because I would be thinking that same way about it. I can stretch a grand now....and i would have more to show for it then just 1 brownie...lol

That is insane. I don't like brownies that much. They must make them with the finest chocolate and have a diamond or some other gem inside.

I hope it is a really really BIG brownie. Maybe the money goes to charity? I could see people with money buying on in that case. Then they could brag all other the place when they get back home. Otherwise I do not see this being justified.

It's probably the type of brownie that will make you forget everything. It will even make you forget you just blew a thousand big ones for that. I wouldn't buy it even if I was Bill Gates.
