I wish we could edit our posts

How many times do we post something at myLot only to discover, just after clicking "Start Discussion", that we'd made a horrible typo or more! Argh! Don't you think it would be great to be able to correct those insiduous spelling mistakes that make us look silly before the whole myLot community?

I hope so, I've done a lot of typo errors since I've been a member here. But MyLot is always upgrading and they may consider editing our own posts too because they added features the last time such as the delete of personal messages and even photo deletion. Spelling check might be a good option to reduce such this errors. It will be more convenient to use this site.

Do you have a hammer or something? You hit the nail on the head. :) It would be nice to edit posts, or even to delete topics that you don't want up anymore. I have topics that I've started that I'd enjoy removing from here, if only I could. It may be wishful thinking, but who knows, maybe it will happen.

I only re-read some of my discussions and realised that my typing makes me look like a retard at times.

Hmm, but you're smarter than a lot of people, a few we both know. You could always do what I do: blame it on being tired. :P

Oh good grief yes! I can't say how much I would love a feature such as that.

I agree. Sometimes after posting my discussion, I feel that something is missing, need more words to avoid misunderstanding, etc. Post edit will be great feature for mylot.

I'm with you on that one. I try to be careful on my posts but I've done a gaff or two that I wish I could fix or the one time I tried to post a picture and brain farted and started a discussion that made no sense at all. Maybe just maybe they will allow editing soon, including post removals.

Yes! I wondered from the moment I started posting on myLot why they do not have an EDIT or DELETE button. I think it would help alot - as would a SPELL CHECK feature for some folks who aren't making just typos but straight up spelling errors. An IGNORE feature would be nice as well and also a feature where you can see all the newest postings since the last time you visited but only to the discussions you already posted or started. There are alot of little things that would make this site even easier to use and enjoy. Maybe they are watching and taking notes :)

Basically, you're talking about features that most 'usual' forums have. This would be a great idea indeed. And yes, I hope they're taking notes too! :)

Yes, I've said so in other discussions, an edit button would be great because it has happened to me sometimes write something wrong or forget to write something and then I have to comment my own post to add it.

Yes, yes yes! I so wish we had an edit button. Before I got to 500 posts and could not copy and paste it was even more of a problem than it is at present. I would try to put a link into my post at times and would type it wrong. Then, of course, my response was useless to the reader. If only I could have gone back in and fixed the error it would have been a meaningful response! As you described, I often look at my responses and my spelling errors and typing errors make me look like someone with no education!

I'd like this feature too or a spell checker. I do try hard to avoid making simple mistakes but i do. the good thing is people are kind enough here to accept that not everyone is perfect when it comes to spelling or typing. Kudos! ~Joey
