Are you having problems with Internet Explorer 7?

I had to take it off my computer and reinstall 6.0. It was so slow I thought there was a virus. Anyone else have this problem?

It's caused by the phishing filter that's built into IE&... it can be turned off....but it still seems to slow it down... this is one of the major security flaws in Vista...(the Vista IE7 does differ slightly from the update version of IE7) and that's where part of the Vista problem lies.

Thanks! That makes sense. Do you think they will fix this? I don't want to have that if it's going to make everything slow even with turning the phishing filter off.

I run both IE and Mozilla Firefox on my computers. When I upgraded my IE6 to IE7 on one of my computers, it was fantastic for about a week. I did not upgrade the other computers. About a week after I had the new program, it started crashing every time I closed a tab or a window. I tried reinstalling it and that did not correct the problem. I have thought about downgrading to the IE6 version and after reading several of the postings here that is most likely what I will end up doing. I use Mozilla Firefox as my primary browser and IE as secondary.

The exact same thing happened to us last week; our pc was so freaking slow, it was taking like almost 10 minutes to open up a page, when it usually takes 10 seconds! My hubby removed IE 7.0 and put the 6.0 back on, now it's working good.

I'm not install it on all my computer, I prefer using my old firefox 1.5xx, and for me I think it pretty fly until now. even I don't use firefox 2. Internet explorer is on my windows because it is allready there since I installed windows. but sometimes I used internet explorer too, since there is some sites that request me to use internet explorer for the best appereance.
