i have been in mylot for about a week. and i grew my post so fast. i never thought im just growing my post but not my earnings. i used to post 4 to 5 liner msgs.. but as i browse i see alot of 1 liner post, i though it works.. so i did the same. to my shame.. i copied the wrong move. now, i so pity myself for this. seems like i wasted my time. learn from me. you'll break your heart if you'll do the same. make quality post. 4 to 5 liners if possible :(

First of all,I would like to appreciate your staright forwardness and the courage you have shown to accept the fact that you did a wrong thing and inspite of that You are really interested to make the members to know that they shouldn't commit the same mistake , what you have committed! You deserve compliments for your generous gesture! Well as I have mentioned in many previous postings about Mylot that the Mylot people are interested in quality postings. They want some substance, readable material, material which can be used for future reference, material which is informative, material which has some thing to do with society. The topic shoould be bit seriopus natured, it should either reflect something pertaining to the societry, or individual where from the members can gain some something in the form of infiormation or knowledge. For posting a quality discussion, I think you need not be well informed about the topic or subject. Since this is a discussion forum, you can express your views openly and leave them for further discussion, thats the way the discussion forum it works! Merely by giving one word or one sentence answer the purpose won't get solved! All the best !! Thanks ! May God bless You!!

Actually my responses depend on the subject matter of the discussion. If it needs a thorough reply then I do so, if it's not then 1 to 2 lines will be just enough. Somehow, I always had liked to make myself clear and comprehendable so mostly my postings are lengthy like this one. Anyway, thanks for the good suggestion. It keeps me reminded.

THANKS FOR GIVING INFROMATION ABOUT THE POSTINGS BUT GIVING POSTS OF 4-5 LINES IS REALLY A TOUGH JOB .I NORMALLY GIVE ABOUT 2-3 LINES FOR EACH POST

I have found a lot of things I'm really interested in thank goodness and so far, except a couple of times, I haven't had any trouble posting or thinking of things to say. I even surprised myself and started some topics.

very correct . u need to post quality discussions , AND NO ONE LINERS. Also try to add photos if u have any that will also add up. Also start intersting discussions which will bring lots of responses.

I agree with you. some times it is hard to make a long post, but if at all possible, try to do so. I have noticed also since joining that if you make longer posts, mylot likes that more. This is my 13th day here. My earnings also fluctuate up and down depending on the quality of my posts.

But that doesnt stop me from responding to such discussions. As u can c i have alread y written many lines in this post now. i better stop else it will be a waste of time as well :D.

I have always made the effort to submit a decent discussion or response, so it is a problem that I have never had to deal with. The number of lines is far less important than the actual content of what you post, so providing that you post responsibly you should always be paid.

So i was of the same view, i never dare to post just one line answers coz i think mzlot checking machine doesnt pay for the posts just one line lenght......very difficult for one line posters to even reach 10$ per month.Just 4 or 5 line posts can make a difference on ur earnings!

I'm new here and I know i have lots of ideas to share but sometimes it helps if i could have someone to show my way around here like making a post for one. I do want to earn but i think i need to get focused to make quality posts.

I always try to post more than 1 or 2 lines. LIke others have said though sometimes 1 line pretty much says it all. you can not really ramble on a subject when you have no idea what you are replying about. that is what irks me..when people reply and pretty much say yeah i agree...i get annoyed because they have 1000 or more posts.

Well, when I respond to post I never mind the lines. Some posts do just require a short answer. It would seem ridiculous at times to 'overexpand' your answer just so you could call it a quality post. Sometimes really, its the content that matters and not the length.

i agree. thats why i said, QUALITY NOT QUANTITY. hence, expanding your response is alot better :)

you are right nobody is going to be rich using mylot.this provides an excellent platform to express our thoughts and we should try to make our contribution to help others in distress or in a fix. I have joined this site to help out one of my friend but I was dissappointed by my slow rate of progress. but i have decided to increase my posts.but the problem is that I only have half an hour to spare for mylot. And i only reply to those discussions which appeals me.

I am so very glad you shared your experience with the other new people. As you said, too mny aren't really trying to post anything worth responding to. It brings the energy of the site down when this happens. It is also terribly irritating! Good post!

Yes, i learned this my second or third day at mylot when a 'senior' member mentioned it, at first I was trying to make as many responses as possible making one or two liners responses most of the time, and very few longer responses but now i always make an effort to be creative and think of a better response, and i avoid the discussions that require a very short response..

That is a very nice post. Yes, we need to be careful and not just be too greedy and think only about money. Initially, I thought everybody would be so eager to earn money. But, after some time, most of the topics here are so personal and highly interesting. Instead of just typing some thing, give in your honest opinions and discuss about the issues. This way, we would be doing what we like and also earning on the way.

Thanks for your straightforwardness. Hope this works for me as well. One liners just increases our response count. But they wont earn much for us. Thanks for sharing this.

Ah...so it's tried and true then. I've heard people say right quality answers and don't do one-liners cause you'll earn less. But I got thinking maybe they did one liners, and later they did more quality but were earning more money cuz they've been here a little longer...so they thought they were being reinforced to do more, but you on the other hand, wrote more, then wrote less...and earned less, and wasted time. SO-it's definite...very good of you to share this! I find it very useful too know. By, the way..Cool pic, is that a troll?

yes, ive confirmed it to my expense.. well atlest ive learned my lesson early. its the quality that really counts. but im puzzled on how mylot can do that?? OT: yes, its a troll :) given to me when i still have my santa :)

How did you find out the difference in the posts? Is there a large difference in the pay scale or is it merely the quality indeed. For example, what if a 1-2 liner produces the same if not better quality than a longer post?

i finally knew about it when i saw someone posted that she got $25 for a 300 post! ohhh.. so i was so rattled & thought she's wrong.. but to my shame, im the wrong one here. i only got $8 for 500 post. that concludes that quality is better than quantity
