How serious do you think this problem is and what should we do to get the word out?

This problem is very serious! The climate is already changing, and some of the changes are irreversible! The worst thing, is that a lot depends here on politicians and big multinational companies, that rule the world today. On the other hand, every person can contribute in his everyday life by consuming less electricity, less gasoline, producing less garbage.

We have to change our life pattern but the time taken will be more. steam and water bound electricities to be changed to battery dc. Store the waterbody still facing problem in India due to mass cement building. Now itself glaciers are melting in the sense after five years it is horrible to think . Even god cannot save because we have done the lots of mistakes.

We cant reverse it but I do believe we can slow it down. my feeling is that this is part of an evolution that this type of climate change go's in cycles. and we humans have speed the cycle up. now we have speed it up we can now try to slow it down

So, we all know we need to recycle and use less energy... I've been trying to do my part for years now, whether it be protesting the Pres. when he's in my city, recycling, composting, using milk based paint and all natural products in my home, on my pets, and on myself... buying local and organic... Some of the biggest things people can do if they are serious about contributing are 1- stop or reduce your meat consumption. If you research the damage the cattle industry alone does to this planet, you'd be shocked. it takes a LOT of energy to get that beef to your plate. Drive WAY less, carpool, and use your public transportation... if you live in a big city, write your reps about converting to electric trains... sounds kooky, I know, but no emissions... and Freecycle everything you possible can. freecycle.org will hook you up with your local branch, and every time you are thinking of getting rid of something still usable, post it and someone will come pick it up... also, if you want anything from a t.v. to clothes to baby stuff... even food.. people will respond and you pick it up from them. All free... I recently got 40 really expensive, delicately used cloth diapers from freecycle, also a beautiful white bassinette... keep your stuff out of the landfills... while doing others a favor. that's really what it's all about people... learning to live and love each other on this sweet earth we call home. Do your part, I'll do mine, and one day our grandchildren will still have lakes and meadows to frolic in together. Please.
