I never heard of vegetables shortening your life. I know by experience that vegetables can improve many health conditions. How did you come to that conclusion? As for junk food, I believe it. There's usually nothing nutritious or useful about it. That's why it's called "junk".

Yes they do! We are lab rats here. Why? Vegetables are "improved" in the laboratory. We are not eating real veggies here but truly altered organism that will last for longer periods for the benefit of the producers. Huge and juicy apples are bombarded with chemicals to drive out insects. Tomatoes, cabbage and alike rot sooner but not with a chemically treated ones. Claims says that chemicals used in infesting are not hazardous, I say "anything that is foreign is harmful to ones health." I'm an avid fan of good salads but I'm fasting on it because of this. I go for my Naturally cultivated ones on my backyard its a greenhouse hoping its really safe. I'm observing insects around the area to know whether the veggies are edible.Insects are dependable indicators, when they reside on the area the food is safe.

Oh, I see! Thanks for answering that. What about fruit? Wouldn't that also be bad, too? It reminds me of a song: "Everything causes cancer". Ha ha. :)

All the more for fruits, in our area apples don't grow but you can always buy a fresh looking one anytime of the year, pretty long lasting apples, pears, oranges, strawberries can be bought anytime you want it. I think we have to be choosy of our food intake, it doesn't mean that it looks good, tastes good then its good for our body. Oriental food supplements and herbal products can be a good alternative these are really good. They've been handed down through generations following some strict traditions of productions. There are lots of them in the market today. Hope one day governments will pass bill like "all natural food policy."Lol... .. Let's the right food!!
