Does your first love ever fade away?

Over the years, many people have asked me if I thought that your first love ever really fades away. My answer has always been "no." I believe that the first time you are able to feel this emotion with someone it sticks in your head and in your heart. I don't believe that it is always the strongest love that you feel as it is different from others.
What do you think, do we truly ever get over our first loves?

Maybe the first person you REMEMBER loving is your first love.... and if there isn't one, maybe you haven't loved yet. You would remember at least the feeling.

NEVER!!! your first will always be your first & it never fades away..I was best friends with my first true love & I married him...Been together for 10 years now & married for 9 ...Your feelings for your first will always be stronger than you think....Sometimes they even get stronger....

Never. I actually wish my first love was something else. Because the person who was my first love really is a truly amazing guy. It's just that he has some bad qualities he needs to work on. He'll never leave my life, though. I know it.

I know how you feel. And believe it or not, I think your first love does remain a part of your life, even if not in body, forever.

I remember his name but I don't love him or rememebr his face anymore. We broke up badly and I would never forget how stupid I was to fall for him. My friends reminded me about him but I thought they were exaggerating. Luckily we were only together for 3 months so it wasn't really something worth remembering.

I don't think your first love is all that important because usually youre too young to really understand love or feel love in all it's major intensity. First loves are usually just lust crushes, that's all. No big deal.

Actually i think it depends on how you define love...?
there is no such universal definition of love, its a feeling alright ... it cannot be rated ... some people want to forget and never remember their first love at all ... similarly some people cannot ever forget their first love ... i think its more of how you look at love at the first instance... what made you fall in love at first....and what made you fall in love the second time {if at all applicable} ... what you were/are looking for and what you found ...
sometimes you find it right away sometimes it takes time to find the perfect match ... so again i would say it depends on how one feels about love and what is he/she looking for in love
