Professional photographer, amateur photographer, got lucky once. Put your favourite photo on here and we share it with the world. There will be a prize for the best picture.
I'm no expert photographer so if anyone has any tips for taking a decent photo they would be much appretiated.
Do you like my attempt at being artistic? LOL

I think you have to have 500 before you can post to a discussion, unless you are starting the discussion. Then you can post a picture.
For the purpose of this discussion, you could post it to your profile and tell us which one it is, then we can go look.

This one is when we had an ice storm not too long ago.
But right before having the ice storm, the weather was unusually warm and the plants thought it was time to start growing buds.
Poor plants! Insane Green House Effect!!!
But here you go, I love this picture!!!

You can't tell by this picture because I played with it and loved how I changed it. But the leaf was inbedded in the ice perfectly.
Since ice is hard to capture, I was playing with the lighting and then I started to throw in color just because.

How many may I post?
Yes, I do photography. I have only worked professional with a protrait place though. But I am working on building my portfolio in hopes of starting my own business.
So, how many pictures would you like to see? I have many favorites.
OK, this one is not long after getting our new Basset Hound pup, Bailey.
He is really good at begging. LOL But he will give up if you don't give in. ha ha

Seeing as I don't have 500 points yet, I got a little creative and upload one to the photography section. It doesn't anywhere near as good at that res. They should make the photos a little higher res!

Now thats cool.. All you people on less then 500, heres a trick for you. Upload your photo to the photography section. Then simply place a link to it in your post. Mylot will add the thumbnail for you autmatically...

In my opinion, the best photo I've taken is the one I'm using as my avatar. I took it on the beach in Michigan when I went home to visit this October. I found a set of deer tracks leading up the beach. I wanted a close-up of one of the tracks, and I caught my own foot in by accident. I really liked the visual of my foot next to the deer's footprints. Kind of makes me feel a sense of being connected in some way. I titled the picture "Leave Only Footprints." Hope you like it.

That is kind of cool... It would have been not the same without your shoe it. (Actually that sounds a little to obvious doesn't it...but I'm sure you know what I mean..) Often the accidental or mistake shots do turn out the best :)

This is not my favorite but I like it. I waited for this deer to jump the fence so I could get the picture. This was taken in Concunully, Wa. usa. I was on vacation at my friends house and we drove to this town because there are deer all over the place just walking the streets, in and out of peoples yards. It's a very small town in the middle of the woods...lol

Okay I came back to post my favorite picture, I had to find it in snapfish. This is a picture I took on a trip to Pittsburg, New Hampshire, usa. It was one of the last trips my beloved "Winston" springer spaniel, went on with me. We took a walk down a dirt road and came upon this lake. I love foliage so I took this pic and another.

Right now, mine would be the one I'm using as my avatar. It was taken early one morning and the sun was just rising above a barn. It was one of those great picture moments.

That is a good photo. Its nice when you get the light just perfect for one brief moment.
Also very frustrating when you have a perfect pic opportunity and miss out. Over christmas we went for a walk on a very foggy day, wandered up a hill and from the top would have been the best photo because all around was the fog with just the top of the hills and the odd tree poking through. I'm so annoyed i missed that picture
