personally i don't think gambling is neither good or bad. its depend on you yourself on how you going to control yourself. gambling is something which you can either earn urself an extra bouns or if you do not know how to control yourself, you will probably have to lose everything. i like yo gamble sometime when im in a good mood but not too often. i like to play online jackpot sometime and i used to play online mahjong too. so how abt you guys? do you gamble or do you totally will never touch this? share with us.

There is a difference between playing games associated with gambling and gambling itself. I am a Chinese and I play mahjong - WITHOUT money, that is! Once all the chips are lost, we restart the game. Gambling is something else - you can gamble with just 2 matchsticks, for example, in a guessing game (which one is shorter? place your bets!) Why I say games associated with gambling, is, I can play poker and other card games, mahjong, etc., WITHOUT money, so, basically, gambling is about money, winning or losing it in a betting. As the Chinese say, you will lose your bet nine times out of ten, so it is not wise to gamble. Especially if the money you bet could otherwise mean food on the table.

I am not into gamblimg. I dont even play cards in my house for fun also. I have seen a lot of people loosing their hard earned money and that's why I have never gambled. I sometimes bet with my friends but, those are silly bets and you dont loose a lot of money if you loose those bets

Yes, sometimes I play online some games. but I think that wheather the gambling is good or not lie on the degress of what you are infatuated. Sometimes we should know when to stop where it should stop. If you are sane, so the gambling is not so terrible like what it hears. I just think so.

Personally I am not in favour of gambling. That is mainly because I was brought up in a non-gambling household. Also my religion, at the time Methodist, banned gambling. We used to see the effects of poker machines on families when I was younger and this influenced me. Later I realised that buying a lottery ticket was a form of gambling, and now I sometimes particpate in online surfing programs, and I guess that is a form of gambling. The trouble is that society sees the effects of negative affects of an addiction, which gambling can turn into.

bad, because gambling is immoral. it undermines work ethics and leads people to seek profit from the loss of others.

I am a huge fan of poker. But I see this as a game, and not just gambling (like putting your money in the slots or something). I enjoy the participation, and often I will play with family and friends for no money, but just the chips. This is just as much fun for me. And playing online for pretend money is fun too. So I know it's not about the money part of the game. But when money is involved, it does become a little more stressful and the adrenaline starts to pump a little more, so I could see why it would be addictive for some people. Hope this is ok for you. Love and light.

I agree with you. Gambling is neither good nor bad. It really does depend on the individual. It's about control. Once I went to a convenient store and this one woman sat there and spent $300 on scratch offs alone. Everytime she won something, she'd give it right back to the cashier to purchase more tickets. That's an addict if I've ever seen one!

I do not personally find the literal act of spending money, even with the potential to win more money, to be entertaining. This is not to say that I could not be entertained pretty much indefinitely as a Casino owner. That I would love, but playing 21, or roullette, or those blinky machines with the levers is not fun. I don't think its immoral but I don't want to do it. Dancing and drinks is more fun.

Gambling will not do good for you except that it will excite you. Once you are hooked on gambling you will learn to gamble everyting (time, relationship, work, finances, etc.). You risk it because you know that it's just a game like gambling, you will become careless and happy-go-lucky. I watched a TV program here in our country regarding LOTTO. It says there that there are 5 million combinations in a 6/42 game-- and the chances of winning is just 0.002. According to the show, it would take you 38 thousand years on continued betting in order to win a single combination. This is what I believed: whether you're a seasonal or big-time gambler, you always lose, why? Because it's an evil money. And evil money as source will not do good compared to money you earned through your own hard work.

I actually like to gamble sometimes.. but i don't do it very often.. Because of money.. but I know what you mean about getting out of control i haven't had that problem.. but know someone who would go gamble and would even take out of thier bank and leave it overdrafted just to gamble.. and then when they didn't win they were mad.. and want to go and try again.. for me its more fun then anything Im not saying i like to lose but if i do ok.. i accept it.. but i will not go if it will leave me with no money.. i think last year alone i went maybe 3 or 4 times.. not alot.. some go every day and weekend.. thats too much.. I like online games too.. pogo has some good games.. i like those.. even slot games..

I personally feel Gambling is not at all a good one because it is very tough to come back once addicted and it acts on emotional levels of a particular individual where he can not stop his game until he lose everything.

I fully oppose gambling, it is simply an obsession and a facet of our lives that we should not indulge ourselves to. Gambling only solves solutions temporarily whether it be that burst of cache or resources, or a time away from our family or peers. However, as time goes, the desire becomes a craving, soon, it will result in mishap and malicious consequences that we can no longer control.
