Let's hear about your favorite cat story. Even if you dont have a cat, you must know someone who does and witnessed a cataholic moment! My Nor loves to lay on my scanner while I'm online and he boots 2 of my other 3 off if they try to get there first! He got his comeuppance when tiny, black, fluffy Little Bitz, decided she wanted to lay there. As he approached, she drew herself up to Halloween cat style and he backed off, mewing like a kitten as he ran away. I laughed so hard I accidently dropped my mouse!

My neighbor’s cat was a great friend. She used to come and play and eventually annexed our place as part of her empire. One night I left the fridge door open, full of meat. There she was, glued to the thing, window shopping, attentively inspecting everything. I was just thinking this was going to require a masterpiece of diplomacy to distract her from the meat. This was not one of the most ambiguous cats I’ve ever met. Don’t know if you’ve ever had the experience of trying to make philosophical points with a cat, but it’s not easy. She looked at me, then looked at the meat. No doubt what that meant. She extended a paw, then extended a single claw… and plucked a tiny cauliflower head and ate it. She then looked at me again, flicked her tail sarcastically, and walked off, leaving the meat untouched. This cat’s sense of humor always got a laugh out of me. Speaking of Cataholics… Do you think they’ve just been misspelling it, for all these years?

I absolutely love cats, I dont know what i would do without my little friend and her little quirks. My parents used to breed siamese cats which I would probably say are my favourite due to there looks and intelligence. My mum used to tell me that when I was a baby the female cat which was called Sam used to lie at the bottom of my crib and if anyone came near me that she never knew than she would hiss at them and try and scratch them.

I used to have a jealous cat and a german shepherd dog who both stayed in the house. One day I noticed the dog had a cloudy spot on his eye so I took him to the vet. The vet said it looked like he had been poked by the cat's claw. He must have been right, because after that the dog would slink around the outside of the room to avoid having to walk past the cat. It was funny to see this big giant dog afraid of the cat!

I had a black lab who had similar done to him by my 20 lb orange tabby named Tigger. Tigger thinks the house is his and the dog should stay outside. When its cold I bring the dog in and he sleeps on a rug we got him in our bedroom. Tigger found this unbearable and struck the dog in the front legs whenever he could, hissing. The dog slunk around the cat when Tigger was awake, trying to avoid those (declawed) strikes!

My sister and her family have two cats, and they were given catnip toys for Christmas for the first time one year. At first there was the familiar 'buzz' and cute playing around that cats show around catnip, but that soon turned to scratching, biting, frenetic activity, and rapid looks around, like the cats had become paranoid or something. My sister concluded that her cats were "mean drunks" who become nasty when they get high, so no more catnip for these two! Some cats become friendly and funny when 'under the influence,' these two just got cranky and paranoid!

Hi there again...I have one cat (see avatar) who literally loves to sing various melodius tones 15-30 seconds prior to going to the bathroom on the human toilet. Then all of sudden there's this brief moment of silence and... "plop, plop-plop..plop ..scratch, scratch...FLUSH!" Even though I hear it regularly it is funny every time because it is so unusual for a cat to hop onto a toilet and then flush afterwards! LOL

How neat you you taught your cat that! I've tried and tried, but to them, the "bubble maker" isnt worth giving up the catbox!

I have a cat his name is shadow..He's a typical street cat my brother gave me when he was little but the thing is even if this cat has no breed he is very intelligent. He use the comfort room and poops and pee there. He also watch TV when we are sitting in the living room watching. He also sleep on the footside of the bed..He is very clean and never leaves the house. We treat him as family. I even tell my sons to feed their brother.:)

well, i know its mean and all, but every once in a while we will take our adult cats and spin them. we hold them close to our bodys and spin and spin until we ourselves are really dizzy. we put them down and the fun begins. they cant see straight or anything. this on time my cat kally, i spun her and she tried to go up the stairs and instead, when she ran and jumped for the stairs, she ended up hitting the side of the wall under them. it was hilarious. other times the just run into the wall or fellow cats. once out side, another cat ran up the hill but it was more running sideways and ended up running into the tree. another story about my cat kally. she loves the winter and snow. even now as almost 6 year old she plays like she did when she was a baby. well anyways, she gets down in the snow puts her front paws foreward and scootches through the snow like a plow. its so cute!

Well, we have a little tabby male kitten by the name of Little Man, how original huh? lol Anyway, if you pick him up and blow in his face he'll smack your cheeks with his paws. It's not that I do it all the time but it's too cute.

I have two cats and two dogs. One of the dogs is a black lab, quite big. He was about one year when we got bailey, our second cat. Bailey was only 9 weeks old and we had to make sure we introduced him to the others slowly. FLuffly the older cat was not too happy about the new adition to the family. Sheba the other cat was slightly interested but too old to do much. Tazz, our lab, at one year old was very interested in the little cat. He would play with the little cat, bring him food from his own food, push him to go to the litter box....they became best friends. Bailey sleeps in between tazz's paws, they play together - and keep in mind tazz is several times bigger than bailey. If bailey approaches Tazz when he's eating, tazz will move over for bailey to eat. But the strangest thing is that although bailey and fluffy have their own bowls for water, bailey only drinks from the dogs bowls. But if the dogs bowls are empty bayley pees in it. I find it strange specially because I thought cats would never do that on the place they eat or drink. ANyway, Tazz and bailey have a wonderful friendship and it's so cute to see them together :)

My aunt's cat gave birth to kittens and was not allowing any of the family members near us, but their dog a full grown lab was allowed near her babies and she even sought his help in moving them from one place to other by giong to him and pawing him. He also like a good uncle followed her and took care of her babies for her. They could play o him all day and he never minded. It was so funny we all started calling him Uncle bozo.

I have a 60 pound lab/German Shepard mix, Cody. My cat Jasper is only about 7 pounds. He loves to torment Cody. One night Cody had enough and was trying to get away from him. She went behind the sofa to hide. Jasper dove from the middle of the living room floor over the top of the sofa and landed on top of her. She freaked out and ran out from the sofa with Jasper firmly attached to her back. It was too funny. It is nothing to see him with his claws in her collar while she is walking around the house. He just hangs there. If you take him off he jumps right back up. She is his favorite toy. She does not seem to mind.

Lily - Lily bosses her brothers about!
So many, I don't know where to start! My little Lily always makes me smile - she is just a baby still (6 months old), and the only female amongst my 5 cats, but she has the 4 boys eating out of her paws. She also bosses them around completely - if any of them come near her when she's eating, she will rise up to her full height (not a lot), and give them this high-pitched, squeaky little growl, and these 4 huge cats run away terrified! LOL! I also love to watch Frodo playing in the snow. He is pure white with just a few black marks, so all you can see as he burrows into the snow are a few black dots moving!

I love love love cats. We had many cats when I was growing up. They were mostly strays that my mother decided to keep. They would be in our store constantly. One cat story that was very stark in my memory was when one of Felisa ran after a dog that went inside the store. I tell you, the dog was very much afraid of our cat. That's the first time I've witnessed how fierce cats can be.
