men, loved and cared more for their child than the wife

is it true, that deep in the hearts of any men, they gave more importance to their children rather than their wives? as if the love has bent to a different view.. but its only a theory, i just want honest and true opinion if this really ever been true, coz you know what im getting the fear to have a child of loosing my beloveds love for me... if not, totally neglects me, and focuses to the child than the relationship..

It is my opinion that a couple as parents would sacrifice themselves for their offspring and given the choice singly they would try to save their children first. This is not loving one over the other but a choice of who needs help worst.
