What is the most expensive gift you ever bought for your honey/spouse/partner/lover?

My partner is a very keen guitarist, last year for his birthday I bought him a Fender Lonestar Stratocaster, it cost me £500 from eBay, definitely the most expensive present I have ever bought.

That is so cool, what a nice gift. Is that the same as $500.00 US Dollars? Thanks for responding. +

Hmmmm I believe that gift would be "ME" i'm expensive (but worth it) and I am a gift that just keeps giving. LOL. Wait,.... I am sure that is not what you meant- RIght? I guess it would be his wedding band. (About $1000) That's about it, he has simple tastes and doesn't require much so he is pretty cheap to keep :).

Well it wasn't just one gift specifically that I had bought for my other half that was rather expensive. But it was a bunch of gifts. Last year for Christmas I ended up spoiling him & had bought him $200 worth of things. But they we're not just things that he had wanted, but instead it was things that he needed as well. Like new shoes or underwear or new shirts for work or for around the house. As well his Birthday falls right after Christmas so he got even more spoiled. I believe the most I've ever spent on him COMBINED would be $400.00. I got him a few things though that he had wanted as well. Like a spiderman hoodie. It cost $30.00 but it was & still is rather gorgeous. I think it is one of the best hoodies that my other half has ever gotten. It's all black & has a design of spiderman crawling down & then there are red spiders on the sleeves. I also got him a wolverine hoodie to keep him warm at night especially since it is still winter time here.. As he loves comic book characters.. It also was customized with his name on the back.. I also got him a new wallet which was of ghost rider as his other wallet he had was falling apart & was all worn out.. And his cards began to fall out of the wallet as well to so I thought it was time to get him a new one to replace the old one.. Most of all I got him things that we're the things he liked.. But also things he could use or put to good use.. I think it's important I had done this instead of him just receiving the things he had wanted.. And then not using them at all. I think he liked how I had gone about mixing the two together instead of more than the other.. He seen the thought behind each gift he was given. In conclusion.. We don't buy each other extravagant gifts all to often quite honestly.. If anything whatever we get for each other we always end up appreciating. I love gifts that are either hand made or have some thought put in to them instead of them being just higher priced gifts or items. I love when my other half creates poems about me or draws pictures about me. I find these types of things to be so much more personable! Once he even got some things I had liked customized for me.. It was one of the most beautiful gifts that I was ever given.. Because he made the gifts so much more personable.. And they are the type of gifts that I will look back upon years from now. In conclusion.. I believe it is the thought that counts.. Compared to the money that may have been spent on a gift.. I know that whenever I give a gift to someone I try to make it as personable as possible. Gifts that have some thought behind them are so much better than any expensive gift I have ever been given.. And I know my other half values gifts that have some thought put in to them as well.. It makes him feel like he had been thought of before hand.. He also told me how special it had made him feel.. I think those types of gifts are the most memorable! . . Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

I spent $1500 for a freezer, as our old one wasn't working very well. My husband thought it would last a few more months, but I didn't want to take any chances. This is the first year I purchased something for the entire house, however, bought chocolate, a gift card to Best Buy and a book for him.

It's good you bought the freezer, can you imagine the food you could have lost since the old was was not working well. Food shopping is expensive now a days. Good move. Thanks. +
