Is it wrong to put fruit on pizza? Does anyone have a recipe for pizza with fruit on?

We had mango dessert pizza in one of the local pizza chains and it was good. I believe it was mango cooked in sugar and water. On your crust you can put condensed milk and grated cheese, not mozzarella though, I think cheddar would be good, not the sharp kind though. Hawaiian pizza has fruit and it's good.

I have heard of people adding pineapples to their pizza but I have never tried this and can't imagine that I would like the taste even though I like pineapple as I am a big chicken about trying anything different like that . But that is the only kind of fruit I have ever heard of anyone adding to their pizza .

I totally forgot pineappl! that's one of the most popular toppings. Also tomoatoes are technically a fruit. So you've never had hawaiian pizza? Ham and pineapple? I would have thought that was one of the most popular pizzas. You should try it! It's good. Try everything once I say!

you want to get technical, tomatos are fruit and not vegitables. so most pizzas do in fact come with fruits. we just don't realize it.

haha i was waiting for some one to say that! Hey doesn't fruit go well with cheese? I've had fruit cheese before. The more I think about it, the more I think mango would taste ok on pizza. I might try it!

commonly pineapple is added to our hawaiin pizza or the ham & pineapple toppings with cheese ! i usually make homemade pizza that i even add pineapple & raisins to my assorted meat & spices pizza. like my toppings may contain ham , bologna , pepperoni , onions , pepper , tomatoes , pineapple , raisins , cucumber & mozzarella & parmesan cheese ! very great in a thick crust crunchy pizza serving with jalapeno sauce & a glass of ice cold soda .... buurrrpp !!!

Pineapple is the only fruit that I have tried on a pizza and liked it. I tried Watermelon on a pizza once while I was working at Papa Johns, the texture turned out horrible and the watermelon's flavor was overpowered by the pizza. I'm not sure if there are any other fruits that taste good on pizza other than pineapple.

The only fruit besides pineapple that I've ever had, that is NOT a dessert pizza had fig jam instead of sauce, goat cheese and basil... it was on a crispy, thin crust and delicious!

Yum, I love fruit pizza. 1/2 package of refrigerated sugar cookie dough 8 ounces of whipped light cream cheese 1/3 cup sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla 1 T water 1/4 cup apricot preserve Your favorite fruit (sliced bananas, sliced strawberries, sliced kiwi, seedless grapes cut in half, blueberries, canned peaches) Spread the ½ package of sugar cookie dough into a 14-inch pizza pan. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 12 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Cool in the pan. Blend the cream cheese with the sugar and vanilla until completely mixed. Spread in a thin layer over the cooled crust. Arrange the fruit on top. Bring the water and preserves to a boil, stirring constantly. Brush this glaze on top of the fruit. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Fresh Fruit Pizza 1-3/4 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup whole-wheat flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted 1/3 cup plus 1/4-cup honey, divided, plus more for garnish if desired 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 egg yolk, well beaten 1/4 cup skim milk One package (8 ounces)low fat cream cheese 3 cups assorted sliced or whole fresh fruits such as strawberries, oranges, kiwis, bananas or blueberries Preheat oven to 375-degrees. To make crust, in large bowl, combine flours, baking powder, baking soda and salt; mix well. In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, 1/3-cup honey and vanilla; stir into flour mixture. Stir in egg yolk and milk; form into ball with hands. Place on lightly greased pizza pan or baking sheet. With floured hands, press dough to form 12-inch circle. Bake in preheated oven 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan; cool on wire rack. To make topping, in a small bowl, combine cream cheese and remaining 1/4-cup honey. Mix until well blended. To serve, spread topping onto crust to within ½-inch of edge. Arrange fruit over top. Drizzle with honey, if desired. Recipe makes one, 12-inch pizza.

I like pineapple on pizza. No, it's not wrong to have fruits on it although I haven't tried any pizza with other fruits! Only had a salad with pizza.

Fruit in pizza is delicious. Have you taste fruity pizza? Its so yummy. Instead of pizza sauce I used mango jam. And for toppings fruit salad in can. And lots of cheese.
