Have You or Do You Use Skype

My company in Brazil requested us to install skype so we could talk to them free of charge. My US base company did not want to do this, so it was never done. My son moved to Germany and we have always communicated on MSN with web cam and the mic. I never had a problem with this, but my son always said it skipped too much on him. So he did an interview with Bopsta over Skype and the guy was in Cananda. He was so impressed he asked me to download Skype so he and I could talk with the web cam. It was so awesome! It is free and the quality is 100 times better than msn. It is just like talking on the phone but free. Of course they have plans where you can pay, but why pay when you can go free and talk pc to pc with phone quality reception. Have you ever used it, if so what do you think? It is located here http://www.skype.com/helloagain.html Give it a try if you have friends or family in other countries or even if they are local and you want to talk to them free.

My sister and I have talked about using Skype (she is in Australia I am in England) but we both feel that the 'set up' costs are too high .. neither of us have web cams (and hate the thought of being in front of the camera) .. so we'd have to buy the phone things and a web cam .. It's all too much bother .. then they pay more to be online than I do and by the time you work it all out it would take us years to get the money back .. you see I only pay 1ppm (yes really ONE penny per minute) to phone her .. I can do it any time of the day or night .. I don't have to arrange with her to have her computer switched on .. it's just too easy to pick up the phone and ring her ..

Yes am using the skype. It's a nice voice chatting messenger. I almost use skype to interact with my uncle living in japan and I am finding it worth enough to have conversation for long hours.

hey i have used it and the sound quality is great, if u have a fast connection if u want to use it for overseas calls it is great, it is better than the phone the voice quality, i also used the Skype Out where u pay and u can make calls to mobile phones and landlines, that service is great, even the chat features and sending files and stuff works perfectly. i would recommand everyone to use skype, but there is another one called "Project Gizmo" that is suppose to enable you to call mobiles and landlines for free, of course it is not unlimited , i think u get 5 minis free something like that go to their web site to check it out , that isn't bad either.

I have never used the pay feature. Right now I pay a flat fee on my phone each month for long distance, but I have been thinking about dropping that if skype is as good. I will have to see if it is cheaper than the fee I pay now.

Why pay for such a program when you can just as easily talk to your distant relatives and friends for free on MSN Messenger using a cheap webcam? My 73-year-old dad in Florida turned me on to the possibility of free video chats and I took his advice. First, all you need is a workable version of Internet Explorer. Then, a cheap webcam. I use Creative, which cost me a grand total of $22 at Wal-Mart. This cam is quite sophisticated, the picture of high quality and adjustable in a number of different ways. So me and my parents hook up for lengthy, free, live, coast-to-coast video chats all the time complete free of any software of monthly fees.

My Girlfriend is in the US at present-unfortunately,She doesn't have a broadband connection, but I do,so I use the SkypeOut service-that's making a call from the internet to a landline phone.much cheaper than Landline Telco rates too..

Yes,I have used Skype in the past and it is truly awesome.I haven't used msn for voice chat ,but I have used yahoo which doesn't even come close to the voice clarity in case of Skype.I thought they had already withdrawn the free service after the buyout.Probably I heard wrong. Will check the website for the latest. When I used it for the first time ,a guy from Germany had called me.He didn't speak much english ,but both of us loved the voice quality and we kept talking in gibberish for 10 short minutes, lol.

I am looking forward to getting hooked up with a skype plan cause I find that very cool to be able to talk anywhere in the world for such a low cost almost free compared to what you would be paying with a normal landline phone so this is a great plan for us.

I have and use Skype. I think it's wonderful and amazing. I use it to make some international calls every once in a while. I just moved kinda far from home and I'm trying to get my sister to download Skype and get a webcam so that I can talk to my nephews. I don't wanna be the forgotten and unknown aunt!

Yes. I have a skype account. That's nice. The quality of sound is very clear. I'm in Indonesia but I can talk with people in Europe and the sound so clear. You just go to the www.skype.com/ for download. Easy and very good.

Skype is the best chat program that I have seen ever. It`s open fast I can talk with microphone and the quality is like a normal telephone but is free. I can play games with my friends and I can see the people from other side with the camera. Skype is the best!!!
