What do you think of people who go through a lot to whiten their skin?

We have so many movie stars here in the Philippines who started with dark skin and now they have very light skin. They do look good though. I hope there aren't bad side effects later on.

I am a Pinoy too. I think there is nothing wrong with wanting to be fairer. I think what's wrong is overdoing it that it harms their health. Like for instance, taking pills that has not been prescribed properly. In this case, the desire to be whiter could do more harm than good. So what I advise is that to take these medications moderately and with doctor's supervision.
