I think it will be better to see a new friend's request with some notes saying why does he/she wants my friendship. That is, whenever you want to make a friend's request, optionally, there should be a place where you can write some invitation text. What do you think?

I think that is a good idea. I get many friends requests and sometimes I wonder why they asked. It would be nice to know if they like the way I write or if I seemed interesting. I often wonder about that. I have joined forums where you have to tell why you want to be a member before they approve you. Good idea!

I have always wondered to think why am I getting such request? When I make a request, I've definite reason to do so. But I can't get a place to express that.

Great idea! I've often wondered why people want to add me to their lists. It will also help when I ask other people to be my friend.
