Crossing the streets

Do you wait for the light to flash walk before you walk or will you walk when it's not even people's turn to cross the street? Why? I will cross the street if there are no cars even if it's a no walk sign.

For me it it depends on which street it is. I live near a major highway. If I go to cross that I do it at the light only. Too easy to get hit otherwise. They drive like maniacs on the road. They actually sell bumper stickers around here that state "Pray for me I drive on US19" and such. Now side streets I cross when I can but there usually aren't any lights there. These can actually take longer to cross because you have to wait for no traffic instead of a timer for the light.

Yes you are right why am I going to wait if there are no vehicles. I do the same. Don't wait for the flashing of light Just wait for the road to be cleared.
