Frozen or Fresh Vegetables! Which ones do you buy?

I have been buying a lot of frozen vegetables lately since I don't have to chop them. Do you buy frozen vegetables or prefer the fresh ones only?

I am really puzzled. I was in Florida recently and saw how the most beautiful fresh vegetables are grown, and yet the supermarkets are packed with frozen, canned and processed foods. The fresh vegatables are shipped 2000 miles to Canada and other countries. Why don't people eat fresh vegetables? I never buy frozen or canned vegetables except peas, you can't get them fresh. I have read that the nutritional value is the same in frozen as in fresh vegetables but I find the taste is not the same. Also there are additives in canned and frozen vegetables. I suppose I would buy some in a pinch if a family of four phoned me in the afternoon and invited themselves for dinner. LOL

I don't buy canned ones but I buy frozen peas, carrots, broccoli, okra, corn etc. If I don't have frozen vegetables in the fridge while fixing a quick dinner I end up not using the vegetables at all since I don't want to peel, chop fresh ones.

The frozen ones are processed much faster than I would get around to it. "Fresh" vegetables you buy in the store often are picked underripe, just so you can have them shipped all over the place. I find there are some exdellent blends, and that is why I often buy those rather than chop it myself, and I can get good proportions of what I am looking for.

I buy fresh veg as I don't like the taste of frozen veg, and it goes all soggy yuck. I do freeze any left over veg for later use.

I find that I don't really like the taste of some of the frozen veggies. Especially cauliflower. For some reason, it just tastes disgusting to me - and I love the fresh kind. So I much prefer for my family to buy the fresh kind of vegetables. But it turns out that the frozen ones are cheaper lately, so we've had to do with some of those. Just not the cauliflower, lol.. I will not eat it! *laugh*

I buy frozen peas and carrots only - the rest of my veggies I buy fresh.
