The Tables Turned. . .

I was giddy when the tables turned and Six found herself subject to Gaius speaking to her as though they were together. It was an amazing turn of events and it really strengthened the bond they seem to share, at least in my mind. Do you believe that their bond is deeper than the surface and they really do communicate on some level with each other, or is it something else? A deep longing, perhaps a bit of psychosis?

What I find interesting about the "chip-Six" and "chip-Gaius" is that they do not act like their real-life counterparts, they are much more pulled together and calculating. I think there is definitely a connection, but it is not outright communication, because the chip personeas have more insight to situations than the "real" people would. (Oh, and the "chip" designation is not mine, it came from the Television Without Pity website, where they summarize the episodes. Baltar once said that the imaginary Six was "just a chip" in his head, and that's what she's been called since. When the imaginary Baltar showed up, I just started using it for him, too.)

I remember that from the first season, her telling himt hat she was a chip implanted in his brain. Do you remember when she told him he was crazy and he went for a brainscan to prove there was a cylon chip--only to discover of course, there's no such thing? That made me laugh. He's so funny, the perfect hypochondriac! I haven't seen about half of season two, so I've missed other instances where he's done that to Six. Now I'm more anxious to dive back into finishing off season two.

Well, this isn't the first time Six has seen her imaginary Baltar. I was happy to see him return, though his dialogue was a little different than last season when he was constantly instilling her with guilt for the genocide of the human race. I don't think they've explained it enough yet. For one, I think Baltar is a cylon. If he's one of the five unseen models, he may have talents the rest don't.

I want Baltar to be a cylon, I really do. It would sort of make him exempt for all the wrongs they've said he's done, but after the episode from 3 weeks earlier, I'm not so sure we'll be able to say that about him. He claims he's not a cylon, but maybe they'll surprise us.
