They say that scent is the best thing tied to memory. Which scent is tied to ur memories? what memories are they? and is it really true?

It is very true that scent is tied to memory. Whether it is the "best" or not is definitely arguable. Psychologically speaking, the mind ties scents as well as sounds to memory. Once you smell something really pungent or out of the ordinary (for example perfume or the dirtiest of trash) your mind will "categorize" that scent and once you smell the same exact scent again, it will trigger your mind to remember that specific time or place or scene/event. For example, smelling a pefume that you haven't smelled in ages may remind you of someone who used to wear that perfume and all the fun times you've had. There is no specific scent that is tied to your memory but all scents in general whether they be bad smelling or good smelling. I hope that answered your question extensively!

I realized the other day that the smell of my own perfume brings back memories. They aren't really happy memories anymore... They were at the time, but my heart has since been broken. I think I need new perfume.
