as people wait for their gifts or surprises, and others are pressured thinking of what gift to give... most are for their loved ones, others for their family, and friends too... but now, what do you think is the real essence of valentines day? is the dinner dates and all the heart stuff important and what matters most? tell me why its been endless for years to celebrate such day, and its true meaning...

world is very competetive these days...ppl hardly have time for eachother or relationships. valentine's day gives u the oppurtunity to make sure tht u do take out time no matter wat for tht specials person or for ur loved ones n spend time with them . it adds meaning to life n love by making u realize the importance of relationships.

The real essence of valentines for me is not the giving of flowers, chocolates or material gifts to the person. It is a day where we show our appreciation to the people we love simply by greeting them "happy valentines". Valentines day is not only for couples but to everyone who love some one, may it be loving our parents, friends, special someone and even our brothers and sisters.

To me, Valentine's day is a day to remind us to take care of the ones we love, and to set aside some special time to spend together. It's a shame it's gotten so commercialized lately, it really shouldn't be about spending money on cards and flowers, it truly is the thought that counts. Try spending time instead, or giving a gift that is handmade and from the heart, it's much more meaningful and will be appreciated.
