Hi, currently, the antivirus that I really like most is avira antivir personal classic edition. I have been using this software for almost two years. Since using this software, I have never experienced any problems at all with regards to the overall function and system performance of my machine. Otherwise, I am so impressed and grateful with its performance. It updates on a regular basis and this can be scheduled at your most convenient time. It is very light on resources and does not use a lot of memory. Hence, does not slow down your computer. It detects and deletes rootkits, worms, viruses, etc. Hope this would help. Have a nice day!

i'll prefer you to go for kaspersky internet security/ zone alarm internet security/ pc-cillin internet seciurity/ avast/ nod32.. dont go for norton or mcafee. they are really heavy on resources and can make issues with your operating system.

i like mcafee.it is good.If you use the default settings, setup is a breeze. The default settings provide very good protection against viruses, Trojans, worms, malicious ActiveX controls and Java applets. The SecurityCenter has several tabs besides the VirusScan tab. There is one for Personal Firewall+, Privacy Service and SpamKiller. These are other programs offered by McAfee. McAfee VirusScan 9.0 automatically downloads updated virus definitions from the Internet on a regular basis. Staying up to date will dramatically decrease any possibility that a virus will infect your computer. On Average, McAfee comes out with new virus definitions on a daily basis. You will have to register and login to get updates-this makes the process longer than it needs be.McAfee is a name brand product that does an excellent job at detecting and removing viruses. Their update process can be somewhat tedious and their support department needs to answer their emails in a timelier manner.

Kaspersky Antivirus is what I use in my Home PC. I have also used NAV and E-trust. According to my experience E-trust is a good bet. Its light on your machine and is quite effective with its wide database and online support. Have a Safe Suft!! Cheers {:-))
