Acidity is caused due to various reasons. Skipping meals in one major reason, when we feel hungry there are digestive juices produced in the stomach which are of course acidic in nature since they play a vital role in breaking down what we eat. When no food is consumed for a long period of time, these juices tend to erode the stomach lining resulting in ulcers and ultimately gastroenteritis. It is advisable to partake meals at regular intervals, drink plenty of water. One reason why crash diets do more harm than good!

It is not about skipping meals, it is about diet. Age does not matter. If you meal has to much meat and sweets, it can couse acidic problems. Vegetarian diet is the best.

Even i have heard that vegetarian food is the best and actually human beings are not for meat and our teeth is designed for eating vegetarian food and look at animals like tiger as you can see their sharp strong teeth, which is used for tearing apart any animals which they eat. So,their teeth is speciallydesigned for eating meat isn't it? i alway's heard that skipping meals leads to acidity problems and as you said eating too much meat and sweet also lead to acidity isn't it?
