The basic and ultimate is in yourself. Can you conquer yourself? If it's not, the card will conquer you. You won't get the card, you only get the credits..And you must pay it...

in addition to above stated requirements i would suggest you to go to the bank from where you want to get a card!

The basic thing you will need is, your income tax statement , address proof, identity proof, and an account and you are done

Basics are you need to be over 18, have an income(there is usually a minimum but you would have to check that with the credit card company) and you are usually required to have a good credit history, but some companies have "poor credit" or "new to credit" cards.
