I cut mine too. But, I found that I like to make it in the mircro better. I place it on a paper towel, and it absorbs all the fat and grease, and is as crisp as frying it. Did you get my email? Blessings, M&M

Thanks for the tip. I always take the package and cut all of it in half before cooking. It makes it easier to handle and it fits the pan better. It also fits the toast better for sandwiches. As I think about it, it does seem to shrink and curl up less.

Hi. That is what I do with my bacon also and it works. I also cook my bacon in the microwave instead of on the stovetop. All you have to do is get a plate and put a couple pieces of papertowel on the bottom. Then put your bacon strips onto the plate, as many as will fit. Cover the plate with another paper towel and cook it for about 3 minutes. It will not pop grease out into the microwave. all the grease gets soaked up into the papertowel on the top and on the bottom. It is quick and easy and less mess.

Love my bacon! Is this tip for only frying or is it as good for people like me that prefer to grill it? Lynn-Marie

Well, I can't have the stuff too often, but my huby can have a pound at a time! I cook it though. The trick for me is to get the type that has the least amount of fat and then cook it at just the right temp and I turn them over over constantly.
