Who Has Been To Sedona Arizona?

Canada

I am in Sedona as I write this, with my Sweetheart who lives and works here. I live in Ontario Canada. We are making it a point to be together as much as possible. I love the area. I'm really enjoying it down here, and I wish I could stay. If I had to be anywhere but my hometown in Ontario, I'd choose to live here. I love it down here!!!

Sounds like you and Walker are having a great time. I have been reading your articles and looking at your pictues on gather. Yes, I have been in Arizona. I was there in Aug and it was very hot. We went up north to the Grand Canyon and it is so beautiful there. I bet it is cold in Canada now isnt it?

I love Gather. I recognized your icon picture, as soon as I saw it. ;-) From what I understand it's cold as heck in Guelph. We just got off the phone with my mother, and she says she's freezing her butt off. thanks for popping in to comment. Walker and I are having an AMAZING time!!!

Sorry to be off-topic, but I just wondered what "gather" is, since a couple of people mentioned it. Is it a discussion forum? I haven't been to Sedona (the last time I was in Arizona was 1965, before Sedona was Sedona). ;) But I hope to be able to go someday. I've always had a thing for Arizona. Don't think I could live there, though. I prefer less heat and more mountains. :)

I've been to Sedona a number of times-- used to go there more frequently when my parents lived in the Phoenix area, now it's a rarity that I get down that way.... but perhaps I should go take one of Hale's week-long workshops! One of my other Teachers-- David Hawkins-- also conducts workshops in Sedona. It's a rather special town, with its own unique atmosphere. And it's a good illustration of how people of similar beliefs and lifestyles tend to find each other and move to the same area. Yu're fortunate to have a "local" connection there.

I know you from Gather!! Can't remember your name right now (are you Peter?) As for Hale, did you know that Walker works for him? ;-) It really is a small world...and I recognized your screenname. Us DANES recognize eachother./ Now the world is even SMALLER!

Yes, we know each other from Gather, yes my name is Peter. I did remember that your man works for Hale; nice work! So are you going to move down to Sedona some time? The long distance thing can't be easy...

It's a beautiful place, as are many places in Arizona. I used to have relatives in Scottsdale and Tuscon and was lucky enough to visit out there a number of times.

I have been in a lot of the States, and Arizona is definitely my favourite. I haven't been to Tuscon or Scottsdale yet, but I am sure they are beautiful. Arizona is awsome!

Thank you Shaun. That's what we're hoping for. We haven't decided yet whether to stay here in Sedona AZ, or go to my hometown of Guelph Ontario (I have family there, his is scattered all over the country). We will see what happens.

I have been to Sedona. My parents took me there when I came out to visit 2 Christmas's ago. My dad got a job transfer to Glendale, Arizona 4 years ago. It stinks because I'm still here in Canada so I miss them like crazy but it's nice when I get to go and visit. I really like the Grand Canyon too, very nice! The main thing I remember about Sedona is all of the sculptures and statues everywhere. That is also where I tried cactus fries for the first time :)

Awwww, that is so sweet. I've never been to Sedona, Arizona. But it sounds like a wonderful place, I will keep it in mind when we decide on a place to travel to.

I have been there, as I think I said on Gather. I've also read your articles and seen your pictures, too. I think it's a very beautiful place. I've been there, I think, at least twice, but not in a long time. Last time I was there, I tried to go horseback riding, but they weren't taking on any more riders. So, I took a two hour jeep tour. That was great because I got to get off the beaten track and see some of the red rock canyon. The driver also told us stories about certain landmarks. I may go there some time in the future. I've been thinking about another trip to Arizona lately, but don't really have a good car. I'm planning to get a new car and when I do, then I would probably take a weekend trip somewhere.

Sedona is beautiful! I go up there a few times a year, to shop and sightsee and relax. I've never been to a more peaceful, relaxing and spiritual place. There's just something about it. And talk about inspiring! It's no wonder so many artists and writers live there! Have you taken a day trip out to Jerome yet? It's not too far from Sedona, and it's one of the neatest little towns I've ever been to. It's built right into the side of a mountain! It's another retreat for artists and writers and it's really just amazing. I wouldn't want to live there - I don't like the idea of a driveway that ends as a cliff drop! - but it's a real fun day trip.

I have been to Sedona. I went quite a while ago when I was doing a bit of travelling around america. I loved it there, the whole town had a really strange atmosphere that I couldn't explain and it was really relaxing. The people there were really interesting to talk to as well.
