I hear alot of complaining from people about the way the goverment is running things. When I ask them if they voted they usually will sometimes say no I am not registered? If you are not registeres to vote do should you be complaining about how things are being done?

I have been registered to vote since I was about 30. A late bloomer to politics. I have voted in the last 11 elections. I am looking forward to voting again in the upcoming election. It's a shame more people don't show for any other elections except for presidential elections.

I agree the other elections are just as important!

I am registered to vote and have done on a number of occasions, but now I don't bother, because all the parties are as bad as each other, whoever gets in. I am not into politics and to be honest I register my views by not voting. Whatever party gets in there will always be complaints, no party is perfect, far from it! Some say mine is a wasted vote, I'd say if I voted for me it would be wasted time!

I'm not registered yet because I just turned eighteen over the summer. I will definitely be registered for the next presidential election. I wanted so badly so have a say in the last one. And no, people who don't vote even though they are eligible to, should not complain.

I was just barely not old enough to vote in the last election. If I could have, I would have- and you can bet your shirt that I'll be voting this time around. Did you know that the bill that made it legal for women to vote only passed by one vote? Imagine if that one person had decided not to vote. It really does make a difference. Not that I'm saying that voting will fix our government's problems. I can vote for a representative, but that doesn't mean that he/she is actually going to support issues that are important to me. And as far as I know, the American public has never been given the chance to vote on whether we should still be at war or not. There really are some issues that we can't change by voting. But for those we can change, we absolutely should.
