When Butt Hurts, And Eyes Stain ....

Most of the members of myLot spends a lot of time in front of the computer. At times, most of you might have felt fatigued due to this. So, I thought, it would be good, if we can all share some tips/measures, that could be helpful in dealing with this situation. Here are a few things, that I do, and I found them helpful, in relaxing the body : * Posture - It is adivced to sit on the chair, with a striaght back. At times, we unconsciously bend ourself forward, with our back bone falling a bit too much at front. This, in a long run, can result in some serious back pain problem. So, it would be better, if we can consciously make sure that, we sit striaght on the chair. It would take an initial effort for us, but soon, it will become a habit, and then, we do not have to be alert every time, as it will come naturally, one it becomes a habit. * It is not adviced to sit in front of computers for long hours. If someone spends around 8-10 hours per day in front of computer, it is always better to take a break for a couple of times for about 10-15 minutes. Take yourself off from the computer, as constantly viewing monitor rays, will stain your eyes. * While you take a break, try palming your eyes gently. You can also have something soft and cold (like cucumber slices) on your eyes, put them on your eyes for 5-10 minutes, and relax. It really works for me, and I fell I am in heaven! * Try to wash your eyes, as much as you can. This is one simple, but very effective way of relaxing the eyes. A few drops of water can do magic! * Also, it is very important to have get a deep sleep in night, as a good sleep promises , a refreshing and energetic day. For those who had hard time sleeping, can try massaging their toes with 'Mustard Oil' for about 10 minutes before sleeping. For that, first wash your toes properly, (take a shower, if possible), and then massage your toes with 'Mustard oil', gently for about 10 minutes, till it gets dried. I do this often, and I have seen, it works for me. * If you still can not get deep sleep, try to sleep on a harder surface, preferably on floor (if possible). The harder the surface, the better the sleep. Also, try to sleep striaght. As I said, once you make it a habit, then you wont have to make effort for your posture again and again - it will come naturally. These are some of the things, that I have tried, and have worked for me. Do let me know, if you have more tips to share. Have a nice day. Keep smiling. Cheers!

O blessed you. Thank you for the tips my friend. However, I haven't had any butt hurts when I spend too much time in front of the computer. :D I sat on a lazy chair while I'm browsing. Well, when my eyes get tired, I know it's time for me to sleep. I then take it as a warning of me, being consuming too much time on the computer. Immediately, I turn off the laptop, and just go to sleep.

*If a person spends long hours on the computer occasionally try to focus on something at a distance from where you are sitting, this can also help reduce eye strain. *To prevent yourself from getting carpal tunnel keep from resting your wrists on the table or keyboard tray for long periods of time. Try doing different activities to give your wrists and hands a break.

Thanks for sharing your tips. My daughter is my pain in the butt most of the day so I really don't get a chance for any computer butt pain til late at night. I do have a problem with my posture because I am usually exhausted. I have to keep reminding my self to sit up straight. Great advice about the eyes too! My daughter's eye doctor said it was very important to get up from the computer every 1/2 or so. She also suggested looking out the window. She said a lot of people come in complaining about their eyesight and headaches. She said it was due to the eye muscles be restricted to up close reading. What happens is your muscles have a hard time focusing long distance. So, you really need to look out over the horizon to keep your eyes muscles in shape.

Oh my yes I have suffered from a sore butt and eye strain being on here. Those are great tips to avoid this. I don't know about the mustard oil and sleeping on the floor. Ouch I would hurt for days if I slept on the floor. Is mustard oil safe for children? What does it do exactly?

Thanks for this very nice tips...What I do is place a pillow on my seat so it wont hurt when I am sitting for so long...Often times I have something to eat and drink beside me to keep my energy up and take also a few minutes to stand up a bit to stretch..I try to be comfortable while I'm in front of the pc with a fan so I won't feel hot and no mosquitoes will bother me.

thanks for the tips that you've shared to us. but i have one thing i have to share. if you spend a lot time to the computer dont wash your face or eyes because after you are in computer your eyes get tired and something on it because of the radiation, so please dont wash your eyes with water if you want to clean your face sleep first or relax your eyes first then take a shower or wash your face. if you want to clean your face after facing the computer immediately then you can use a cold cream or petroleum jelly and afterwards wipe it with a use of tissue or cotton. what do you think?
