Its really hard to work-out a relationship with that kind of communication.. You don't get to talk to each other in person even though your not that far away from each other.. Those shifts are really taking a part on your relationship, my advice is that you find a way to make things right.. After all, what matters most in life is not the things you have but the persons you loved..

I think alot of ppl work diff shifts for many reasons...What about the days off you and your wife have? If they are not the same, is there any way to coordinate them so they are? Do you see each other at any time throughout most days? I would try and make the most of the time you do see each other, even if that's just spending time together taking a walk, snuggling up to a good movie, etc -whatever you both enjoy doing together. Even if Email is the most contact you have, try and make it more fun and intimate...Even remembering to say i love you and sending a dozen 'graphic designed' roses or a funny, interesting picture or website to share...
