Should you get hired if you have Piercings in the Body.

I often wonder what the World is coming to. The young generation is using their body to pierce holes into it and then put in Studs, Ornaments, Diamonds and such like. Should Professional companies hire Male persons if they wear an earing in one ear or Females if they have a Diamond in the Nose or stud in the tounge? I think if you want to work with the company you should look like what the company is projecting. Modeling companies can tolerate such persons. What do you think?

Not hiring them would be what we like to call discrimination. And that's a serious problem in the world of today. What makes them any less qualified to do the job than someone who doesn't have any piercings? Does an ear ring affect someone's ability to do work? No. Companies are just so worried about their image that they sometimes overlook people who have piercings or tattoos.

I can't stand it when certain companies won't hire people with facial piercings or visible tattoos. Who's doing your job? You or your body art? You are.

It doesn't matter if a person have piercings in the body. But, he/she should not wear it during the interview or while working. Must show professionalism.

I think if a person does a good job and works hard, then who cares what they have pierced? I think it'd be a sad world if people looked down upon those who like to express themselves differently! I've had piercings in my ears, a tongue ring, and a naval ring and my boss thought I was so great she made me a store manager! I worked with the public too, if you have an open mind you can look past such things.

I think that it's perfectly fine as long as it isn't overdone. If someone has tattoo sleeves and snakebites and a bunch of other piercings I wouldn't hire them. But too it depends on the job. If you're going to work at a music store or an alternative clothing store then that might work out, but I wouldn't hire them if they were working at a department store or as a waiter or waitress. But if it's a tiny diamond stud in the nose or a single earring I think that it is still appropriate.

I don't see any justifiable reason to treat someone with peircings or tats any different to someone without them.
