Do you let your pets sleep with you? If so, how is it working for you? Ours sleep with us and it doesn't always work in our favor. :-) some nights they end up with most of the bed! If they don't sleep with you where do they sleep? or if they did sleep with you and now they don't how did you get them to stop? Some mornings I really think that we made a mistake letting them sleep with us!

My dog sleeps in our room, but she's in a crate next to my bed. She just cannot be trusted to roam free, and I wouldn't get any rest. She doesn't know any different, so it works for all of us.

We did that the first 2 or 3 months because they could not be trusted. but with 2 40-50 lb dogs our bedroom would be mainly crates! LOL

I never allow my pets to sleep with me in bed. The problem is with my daughter. She loves to take the dog along with her when she sleeps. Now, the dog has been accustomed to this and when my daughter is away it cries annoyingly someone will have to take over the thing she does. If it is I who takes over, I stay with the dog in the sofa until she has fallen asleep. Then slowly, I leave and get to my bed.

LOL That is what happened with my parents! My sister always sleep with her dog and then when she had a baby she stopped letting him sleep with her so he moved into my parents room. My dad doesn't mind but my mom hates it and usually kicks him off the bed before the night is over. LOL

Both of our dogs sleep with us, they also have 3 beds they can sleep on and the couch and pretty much anywhere. I don't usually mind to much....my husband works 3-4 nights a week so they are good company and for some reason help me feel a little better about being alone at night. They are not big enough (or mean enough) to do anything but they would at least wake me if they heard something :-)

I have a dog and 2 cats, all of which sleep with us at some point during the nite. My cat likes the pillow above our heads, my daughter's cat likes to lie next to you, and my dog likes the pillow as well but he doesn't like sharing it. lol My dog and cat both have their own beds which they sleep on as well. My daughter's cat sometimes sleeps on the dog bed or her bed orrrr under my bed. Dog likes the couch as well but again, doesn't like sharing. lol

No, I don't let any of my pets sleep with me. One of our cats always tries to sneak in my bed. I wouldn't mind but he wants to be right in the middle of the bed. So you have to bend around him..lol He's blind so I try to put up with him but he only does it once in a while. My mother on the other hand ends up with 3 cats and a dog in her bed..lol I have always trained my dogs to stay off the bed and out of my bedroom. I just don't like trying to roll over and an animal is there...I feel bad disturbing them so I just don't let them in.

My mom never allowed our pets to sleep with us because my younger sister has asthma and it's bad for her. My mom herself has weak lungs so she doesn't even allow the pets in our house. They have their own house in the backyard. I wonder how it feels like to sleep with a pet. Is it the same as sleeping with a human being? I just know that if a person allows his/her pet to do things with them, like what you've said, sleep, the pet starts to act like the person. Maybe that's why it's taking your space in the bed now! Haha.
