My son and I have been eating peanut butter with the # 2111 as the beginning of the batch number for the last week. I checked and this is the number of the peanut butter that is supposed to be contaminated with salmonella. So far I have not gotten sick and neither has my son. Has anyone else been eating peanut butter with this number? If so ,has anyone here gotten sick from it?

A couple of people in my town got sick from that peanut butter. But, I've eaten food that has been recalled before and haven't gotten sick either. Some people's stomachs can handle more bacteria than others, I guess. If you have any symptoms, though, I'd rush to the Dr.

Well we ate some of it before we knew about the recall. Guess we were lucky this time.

They are no recalling all peter pan and great value peanut butters that have been boughten since last May. I wonder how many people even have it from that far back? I've heard of several in this area having gotten sick although I don't know any personally.

We usually only buy the Peter Pan peanut butter but lately we have been buying the cheap stuff to save on some money. I am glad we did. But my son and grandson had been eating the Peter Pan kind and had that number on it. They didn't get sick either. They are sending the lid to the company.

yes, I have been eating peanut butter from the 2111 batch. I didn't get sick either, but I threw both jars of my peanut butter away because it was 2111. I even ate peanut butter rice krispie treats made with this peanut butter.
