50 Posts A Day on MyLot???

United States

I have been seeing members talking about posting a minimum of 50 responses per day. Does anyone really do that? If so, how much money can you earn doing this? I joined to read, learn, and discuss--not for the money. But now I'm curious just what the possibilities are here. What can you tell me? There's got to be some "old-timers" on MyLot that have stories to tell about posting and starting discussions. What's the greatest number of responses anyone has done in ONE DAY?

I know not everyone comes here for the money - I enjoy the discussions but either way 50 posts a day is a lot of work!! And I think you'll find there are a lot of people who easily do 100+ a day on mylot but when you read their comments the majority are 10 words or less answers. I've done the 50 posts before in the day - but i've also been paid the same amount just for doing less posts but longer answers and more in depth. I honestly don't care how many posts I do in a day - if i come online and the discussions are boring or repeated then i'll just skip it.

Good point. By making so many posts in a day, it's got to be hard to really give them some thought and depth. Thanks for your insight.

Fifty responses is quite a target! Especially if the discussions are really thought-provoking, not something you can just plunge into, they take time. I have lots of friends on alerts so all the discussions they start go straight into my inbox, so I work through those, you have to spend a lot of time on Mylot to reach 50. It does get very addictive. When I first joined Mylot I was forever posting discussions, now, however I much prefer to respond. The money is a bonus but I don't rely on it, getting $1.50 a day isn't going to make me rich but I draw from other benefits like making friends and getting a chance to put my point of view across. Good luck!

i aim for 100 posts a day, but in reality 50 is my normal acheivement. It is not that hard when you have an active friends list to work with just takes a little time commitment, nothing more. blkessed be

I see those posts also.. Heck I have alot of trouble finding 20 interesting discussions to respond to in 1 day. Some days are better than others. Some days I find alot of things that I can relate to or have insight. I think the most I have done in 1 day is 25 possibly 30... Payment varies.. depending on how many people rate your response, and if it was chosen as best response. Good luck here- Am I like you- I come here for discussions-- the extra money is an added bonus!

i go for your opinion. it's true that it's not easy to find interesting discussions. that's why i don't sit infront of my computer for straight hours. i give myself to take a break for awhile before getting back hoping to find some new interesting discussions to reply to. yep. some days are better than others. for me, it actually depends on my mood. i can say that there are days when my brain is really working and there are times that my brain just wanna chill out.

I've not been here very long and only managed a few posts per day. However, I do try to respond to discussions from my friends, and at least try to make responses for new discussions from new users, we were all new users once :-) I gues my best day was around 25 posts - not a lot really compared to others but I like to be selective in the discussions i respond to

Hi Foxfirethree, I initially joined last October, but did't really begin participating until last weekend. I was introduced to Mylot by a very congenial poster from another board, who like me was fed up with the nastiness of that board. The poster raved about the better environment here on Mylot, so I thought I'd give it a try. The monetary aspect is inconsequential to me. Especially since I have no clue how Mylot calculates earnings. Since last weekend, I've participated in several discussions, and asked one question. I rather doubt that I'll ever post 50 responses in a single day. It's simple not feasible for me. Other boards reward the number of responses, rather than their quality. What I like about Mylot is that the environment seems to be geared toward stimulating discussion, rather than 'hit-n-run' responders. My intent is to continue to enjoy the volley of thoughts and ideas. Actually, I'm amazed at how great some of the questions here are!

I think it is okay to make 50 posts a day. For me it is hard to make around 100 posts a day. I have seen lots of people stating that they are making around 100 posts a day. I think this is a very good job to post 100 posts a day. I always tries to post first on the discussions started on my interests than I move forward to other discussions.

50 posts a day is a lot of work. I imagine a lot of people have things to do and do this in their spare time. That is how it is for me. I have a day job and other things that require my time. I just post when I can. I don't stress about it.

Wow after reading some of these responses I feel like I am slacking. If I hit 30 post on average it is a lot for me. But I enjoy being on and mostly do it at night when everybody else is sleeping.

On most days I get at least fifty posts per day, quite often it's closer to a hundred. I usually make between one and two dollars a day doing this. I sometimes find it difficult to find any discussions I can respond to though that I haven't already answered five or six different ways as a lot of topics tend to be repeated. I am currently a stay at home mom and my children are in school all day so I have the time to do this.

Well I don't normally post 50 replys a day because it takes me absolutely forever lol. But actually, I posted 50 posts yesterday and I made $1.11, thats pretty good for me I was satisfied!

I have not hit 100 posts and I don't even try. On the one day that I posted over 50 and less than 60 I made $1.98 and .02 of that was for a picture that I uploaded. I post between 15 and 25 posts a day and start a couple of dicussions every few days. If you take what I have made this month and divide by the number of days I'm averaging right around a $1 however last week I was very sick and wasn't posting much at all, so it is probably closer to $1.25 a day. I have had several days that I made almost $2 and the only difference was that I received a number of best responses. Hope this helps you in some way. Welcome to mylot and I wish you much luck!

I'm lucky to get 3-4 a day...and sometimes that number is zero!!! I also joined to read, learn and share information...I'm really here for the community...I try to respond and rate my friend's discussions or any that catch my eye as having some depth and interest..but I also play into the TV talk..which is such fluff..but fun...It's really what you make it..and that mostly is dependent on the time and energy you have to devote!! I hold a full time job and also a house full of chores and lots of volunteer work...so my time is limited on any of these computer sites...but I enjoy the interactions...Good luck..hope you make a million :D

I have made 50 posts in a day...actually a couple of times. It took all of my spare time and it was a day that I didn't have to go to work. It takes a good amount of time to achieve this kind of posting level! I don't remember my earnings for those days. I don't know if I will ever make that many posts in one day again.

the most posts in one day? for me that would be around 40 or so. but others do 100 posts a day,or more. i try to do 30 a day now,coz i only want to do quality posts. that is better, better for the other mylotters. and it means a better payment for me.

I was able to accomplish 50 posts a day but only once, when I didn't have anything else to do for the day (it was during heavy snowing and school was cancelled -- I'm a teacher by the way). I started logging in at around 8 AM and just paused for lunch, afternoon TV and dinner. I ended at around 9 PM -- with eyestrain and backache! I figured I couldn't do that again. I don't know about the others, I mean, how they do it (perhaps it takes getting used to). I remembered earning $1.89 which was my highest ever because that was the highest number of discussions I ever responded to. I didn't start any discussions that day and I have no referrals at all. So, that's it.

I try to post at least 50, but dont always manage it! Guess it is a case of posting as of when you can manage it Some days I will manage 50 others not nearly so many. Ive not been a member that long myself! So I am still only learning. I know the first couple of days I wrote a small amount of discussions, mainly to get the feel of this site more than anything! From what I can see so far it looks good! Though I have not reached the first $10 as yet! Although I am not here just for the money, but more the community spirit that I am finding here Lynn-Marie

I can easily post 50 responses in the available time to me but those would be very short and will not solve the purpose of the starter. Here main motive should be sharing and increasing knowledge. And I can manage up tp 30 posts a day.
