what's the meaning of LOL?

im new here in my lot and this the first discussion i'll make. i read so many posts and this word is very used here and im just so curious about this word. the language used in my country is not english, could you guys help me? is it some kind of expression? an abbreviation? anybody?

Welcome to Mylot. You have started a good discussions here. ( LOL ) means, "laugh out loud". It is a slang word or abbreviation that we all use so that we do not have to type all of the words. LOL means laugh out loud they normally use this on the net when chatting to express a funny feelings and to shorten the words

The term "LOL" means "large ordinary leak" and is used when people want to signify that they are thirsty.
I am not sure what these other people are talking about but "ROR" means laughing out loud.

LOL is a way to express in the chat or mail that he/she is laughing or to express that it is funny. Because you cant see the other person laughing.
