In the list of leaders and dictators, Adolf Hitler's name appears on the top. The mere mention of his name commands dread and terror. Born in 1889, in Austria, he became the dictator of Germany and founder of Nazi Party. However, before achieving the highest seat of authority in Germany, he had worked in the Army of the country for World War 1. He was awarded the Iron Cross for the services he rendered. In 1920, the Nazi party was born under his observation. In 1923, he was imprisoned for nine months for the Beer Hall Putsch. He wrote a personal manifesto, Mein Kampf (My Struggle) while in prison. Hitler became the chancellor of Germany in 1933. Being a moving spokesman, he was able to influence people pf the country a great deal. However, all through his life he worked to expand the territory of his country by trying to become a conquering power over other nations. His decisions led to his downfall and ultimately suicide in April 1945... Was he a great leader or a maniac....?

Anyone who would torture and attempt to kill an entire race of people out of his own fear is a maniac. He thought the Jews were a threat because of their money and social positions and he hated and feared that.

If you read Abert Speer´s book "Inside the Third Reich" you will find out that he wasn´t a great leader at all. Often Hitler made decisions that were contrary to what his advisors were telling him. Albert Speer was Arnaments Minister for the Nazis
