How Big is your Fabric stash? LOL do you hide it from your Husband? I keep alot of fabric in Rubbermaid containers and when we moved last year my husband asked what was in these five very large containers and I said my Fabric, LOL he just about fell over. I told him every bit was bought on sale!

This is a funny thought. I at first thought I had only 2 rubbermaid tubs full. Then one night I was looking for some fabric to work on a project, and wow!!! I found three in one closet. I decided to look in another closet-- three more!! AND there was fabric just laying out, with out a tub, because I ran out. I KNOW that I have at least one giant box in the basement filled with jeans and old flannel shirts that I've been saving for a jeans quilt. Gosh, I didn't know I've gotten so good at hiding my stash from myself. :)

Sad to say but I really have no idea how big my stash is because i have one stash here and another over there, some in this room and some in that other room. There is no way my husband can see it all only what is in one cabinet. I either got it on sale or it is left over from a previous project or it was given to me from a friend or several friends. I thought I was the only one to stash my stockpile of fabric. I was wrong again. hehehe

I've just devoted a small chest of drawers to my growing fabric stash. I do use a lot of the fabric I buy quickly in the massive quilt I'm making, and I tend to buy fabric if I'm making a specific project as I plan it.

I don't feel so bad now! LOL I have about five large Rubbermaid containers too, along with a few drawers of scrap fabric. I thought that was too much! HA! My Momma takes the cake though - she has an entire bedroom dedicated to her sewing room. She has two dressers, an armoire, several bins, and a closet just filled with fabric! She has all of the "projects" grouped, noted, and categorized too! She is absolutely amazing. :) I can aspire to have such a fabric stash, 'eh? LOL Happy Quilting everyone! Susan

I have an embarrasingly large fabric stash, and I only collect certain fabrics. I have a large collection of food fabrics, flannel fabrics, judaic fabrics and sea-based fabric. I tend to collect for specific projects. And there is no such thing as too much fabric!
