Rating Greater than 500

Hi there,
when i try to past some copied lines in discussion it shows that only users with rating greater than 500 are allow to paste??? can any one tell me that what is this rating and how can we increas our rating? from where we can check our rating?

U have to make 500 posts before you can copy and past, so far you have only made 12 so you have some way to go before you can do this =)

how can we check our posts that how many we have done,
and one thing more that why there is a star in some users post and writen a number on it?

Users with a user rating of less than 100 will not yet have myLot reputation calculated, and will therefore have no star next to their name. myLot reputation updates once per day, so most users should see their reputation appear shortly after reaching a user rating of 100.
Remember, myLot reputation is determined by the myLot community, and it is cumulative for all user contributions. Therefore, myLot reputation can fluctuate even without a user participating on any given day.
In addition, you shouldn’t think of a particular myLot reputation level as necessarily being “good” or “bad”. It just means that a user with a reputation of 8 is generally more highly thought of by the myLot community than a user with a reputation of 5, and so on and so forth. It doesn’t mean that 8 stars means “good user” and 5 stars means “bad user”. Both are valuable members of the myLot community.
As you might have guessed, the best way to increase your reputation is by contributing quality topics, responses and comments and avoid posting low-quality content or items that violate the myLot community guidelines.

Your rating is from the number in parenthesis beside your name. It comes from responding to discussions, and from starting discussions that get at least one response. I guess 500 just shows your committment to good posting. When I first joined anyone could cut and paste, and it was a problem, and people did some scamming stuff with bots posting photos as well, so we had to be given some rules.

You are also asking about the star, myLot gives that to yu once you have a rating of 100, because until then they say you do not have enough reputation to rate.

oky sir,
thanks for helping me, im new here but i began to know alot about mylot. but there is one more confusion that sometimes when we post very short contaning half or just one line then it might not concluded in our number of posts ? i think i have posted more than 30, included mine discussion and those ive replied but it is shoing just 6 right now, so it mean my many posts are not included, why?

The rating here is the no of posts you post in mylot.Mylot allows only those people to copy paste who cross 500 posts.I have crossed 500 posts long time back but believe me i have copid and pasted only 2-3 times.

I have noticed that you are a newbie to mylot but still your respond to people who post in your discussion its a good habit keep it up.

Your rating is the number of posts you have made. It is the number in brackets after your username. You can see this by looking at any discussion where you have made a reply. You are currently on 12 posts, so you need to get to 500 before you are allowed to copy and paste. This is to try to reduce the number of spammers here.

but i guess i have posted more then 20 replys in diffrent topics then why mine is showing 12?
and what purpose of star with written number on it, like u have a start written number 10 here. ?

If your replies are very short, then they won't be counted towards your number of posts, in some circumstances. Your discussions do not count, nor if you add a comment to a reply.
The star rating indicates a user's reputation on myLot. It is obtained through other members rating your replies/discussions positively. You should try to give good quality replies in order to boost your reputation, and your earnings.

good question i was just wondering the same thing. The word "rating" is misleading. good to know they mean the number of posts!
