Yours sounds good, here is mine if you want to try something different. Ingredients for Bread Sticks 1 cup of scalded-and-cooled milk ¼ to 1 whole cake of compressed yeast About 1½ cups of bread flour ¼ cup of lukewarm water ½ tablespoon of sugar ½ teaspoon of salt 1 tablespoon of melted butter 1 white of egg, beaten light Flour for soft dough Instructions Make a "sponge" with the first four ingredients and when light add the rest of the materials. Knead until elastic. Cover and let rise until the bulk is doubled. Pull off small pieces of dough and knead into balls; cover on a floured board; when light roll under the hands, on the board, into pencil shapes of a length to fit a bread stick pan. Bake when light. Brush over with slightly beaten white of egg and return to the oven to set the glaze

I want to share recipe too: Cupid's Breadsticks INGREDIENTS * 1 (11 ounce) can refrigerated breadsticks* * 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted * 1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion * 1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon * 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano * 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme * 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes * 1/8 teaspoon onion powder DIRECTIONS 1. Separate breadstick dough into six pieces. For each heart, unroll four pieces and twist if desired; seal perforations and pinch ends together. Shape into hears on an ungreased baking sheet. 2. For arrows, unroll remaining two pieces and separate into four breadsticks. With scissors, cut one end of each breadstick into a point. About 2 in. from the point, cut out a triangle from both sides of breadsticks (discard removed pieces). At the other end of the breadstick, make diagonal cuts on each side, creating feathers. Place on baking sheet with hearts. 3. In a small bowl, combine butter and seasonings. Brush over the dough. Bake at 375 degrees F for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown.

Can this be made stuffed with a cheese stick? That is how they make them at the school where I work, and it is yummy. How big around are they, when done?

I don't know how to do it with the cheese. Depends how thin they are when you roll them. About double and a half bigger after baked.

Sounds delicious and these will save me having to go out and buy some to go with your lovely soup recipes. I can't wait for my visitors to arrive at the weekend. I can almost smell them cooking (the breadsticks - not the visitors). Ha, ha.
