Hmm. What comes to my mind first is that it is likely 2-3 times the price of a regular toothbrush. Knowing how often we are supposed to change our toothbrushes, it wouldn't seem worth it to me. Of course, if someone is having a really hard time getting their child to brush and this helps the child to brush then by all means...go for it! The end objective would be that all kids need to brush...so this is one more piece to the puzzle I guess. I imagine one could do the same thing with a battery operated CD player or something in the bathroom. Put some of the child's favorite little songs on a CD and press 'play' when they start and have them brush until a certain point in a song!

I agree. Luckily my nephew LOVES brushing. The only problem we have with him, is he will grab whatever toothbrush he can get his hands on, regardless of who it belongs to. I am hoping my little guy is the same way. I like the CD player idea, you could make a game out of it. You know, see if you can keep brushing until this verse, etc...

They want kids to see that and be like "MOM I want that!" - to get us the consumer to pay an insane amount of money for a piece of crap that will probably die after it hits water the first time.

That was kind of my thought on it. I mean I understand the appeal of getting your kids to brush properly. But will this really help? I figure they will play with it more than anything.

I don't know...I think it's really cute. Anything to get kids to brush is a good thing. I might go get one for my God daughter. Thanks for the tip. She hates to brush her teeth before bed if she's really tired. She's 3 & 1/2. It might just be the right gimmick to get her excited about it.

In that instance, I could see it being a life saver for some parents. I suppose I will feel these gimmicks are a little less silly when my little one gets bigger and I am desperate to get him to do the things he is supposed to be doing. LOL

I think if you have kids you understand the need for somethimg silly to get them to brush their teeth long enough. My son loves to brush his teeth but he doesn't actually do any good, I think if he got to brush for the two minutes then mommy took over it would work well. And even for older kids my daughter would love it!!!

I can understand the idea behind it. The commercial just struck me earlier is all. Like I said, when my little one is a bit bigger, I will probably be looking for all the gimmicks I can find to get him to do what he is supposed to be doing.

there are a lot of senseless products released on the market but this seems kinda cute to me. i mean it attracts kids, and we all know how hard is for grown-ups to talk their kids into brushing their teeth sometimes. so...as a whole, i see it as a good idea.

It sounds like a good idea to me as it can be hard getting kids to clean their teeth. At least this way you can be with them and know when they have brushed enough by the music. I think I would like one to make sure I brush mine for long enough.

I think it's a good idea actually. Alot of small children don't like to brush their teeth. Maybe the music will help to get them to brush. I have a daycare and there's one little boy who recently had a baby tooth pulled cause it was rotten. He also has 4 fillings. His mom says he doesn't like to brush his teeth. If I could find one of these music toothbrushes, I would buy it for him.
