5 weeks now, out of work still waiting to start the new one.

I have posted this about my hubby being out of work. We are still waiting for him to start working. He has a job ready to go to, but they are waiting for the background papers to come though forst, and that is taking so long. If you feel led, would you please make a tiny prayer that he starts soon. I would appreicate it. God has been very faithful, and has helped us during this difficult time. All your prayers and best wishes have been grately appreciated, and answered. Thank you again. Oh Margie this is bad, why is it taking so long, I was so happy when I read that your Husband managed to get a job and now this. Oh I really hope that he starts soon. Can he not chase up? You are both in my thoughts and I really hope that it will all fall in Place soon. Love and Hugs to you both from me.

I know how that is waiting for background checks. Working in Human Services they are always required. Sometime they get back quickly and sometimes it can take a while. I wonder maybe if part of problem is all the heightened security that maybe it takes even longer than it used to. I'll keep you both in my prayers and I do hope he doesn't have to wait much longer.

adding my prayer. MY husband is in the same situation basically for the same amount of time.He's had a few interviews and the main problem is that we're the ones who are in a hurry for him to start work.. so if feels it's taking so long. Some of the people who interviewed told him that they would be going through all the interviews and will call in about 2 weeks. This is normal, it's just that we need him to start working before that :)
We'll things will get better for both of us.

I konw exactly how you feel, when I got laid off I went out looing for a job. Placed appications to jobs that I really wanted. Background check comes back and they tell me no. Even though I took an accounting test and passed it with a breeze. After that my church prayed for me, in a week or two a friend of mine told me about a job. I checked it out and got it. I told them about my record and they didn't care. I will pray for you and your family. You will make it. Just have faith.

I am praying for you and your husband all the time and hope he is able to start working soon. That seems like an awful long time for the background papers to go through. Did they say why it is taking so long? I also hope he is feeling much better and hope you are doing well.

I so hear you girl my husband has been working for a couple of weeks at his new job but has been looking for another one he comes home miserable and the pay isnt good. So today is his day off and hes going for an interview and hopefully he will get this one and be happy again. so I do know what your going through but you know what this will work out for us and will make us even stronger. Have some patience Im trying too.I havent been on here like I used to be but I always think of my friends Hugs to you too.

Margie, I thought that he started his job already! I can't believe that he' waiting for a background check also. I am still planning on starting my new job on 3/5, but that's all dependent on the final parts of the federal background check and credentialing process to be completed. This has been such a long process, and from what I hear it always is. Be patient and have faith that he will be back to work soon. My prayers are with you both.

I am waiting for a background check to to work for school. it has been about five weeks for me. this is for City schools. when I worked for the County of Ohio it took about 4 weeks.

I am so glad that your husband had gotten the job. I pray that he starts soon.
My husband had to wait almost a month for the paperwork to be completed for his new job, and now he hates the job. Go figure. He is going to start his own business again. He was happiest when he had his own thing going. It does not matter what he does as long as he is happy.
Take care of yourself, and give your husband a congratulatory hug for me.

That's a long time, just keep praying, I didn't know it took that long for a background check, It iis taking me that long too. I will be working for the school. when I wrked for the school before it didn't take no time and all. those back-ground checks take forever.

I will add you to my prayers. I just want to say that I was recently unemployed for four months. I live alone and have no one else to support me (my boyfriend has sole custody of his son, so he doesn't have much to spare). About a month ago, I got the best paying job I've ever had in my life. I'm so grateful and I know that sometimes, even though it's hard, faith is the thing that pulls you through to something even better than you ever dreamed of. God bless.
