webdesign - what is the best program for designing webpages?

what is the best program in your opinion for designing webpages?

well i am using photoshop for graphic and dreamweaver for the html work. i think that is the best tool now. but when i am working on linux environment i am using quanta for my html editor and gimp / krita for my graphic work.

It depends on your level of knowlege with html. If your a beginner dreamweaver is a good program. I've used it before and was quite impressed. I'm completely self taught in html and css and found dreamweaver a little bit restricting. I use HTML kit right now for my pages, mostly because it comes with a program called Tidy that will check your pages and let you know if you have anything wrong before you put it up online.

It really depends on what kind of page you want to make. Generally learning HTML is preferable over using a program to make your page...or making a page using flash animation is probably most professional. But usually we pages are a mix of HTML code, and photoshop artwork. lol but to answer your questions adobe creative design 2.3 is pretty user friendly and can help a whole lot in the design process, though I think some photoshop use is required....Hope this helps!
