Here in the Philippines, 2 packs of Marlboro reds Almost 3 cans of soda 2 kilos of rice 1.25 kilos of sugar

hi there, woah that's alot for just one dollar, in here well one us dollar is equivalent to 50 pence well about that so all is i could buy is a small 1 pint of milk, that's it, but with one pound here i could buy say 2 cans of soda ( pop). it's very expensive here in the UK, in my opinion!

I'm sorry I didn't type that right. For every line of items, cost one dollar. Not all that for one dollar.

okay cool no worries but it's still cheap, LOL! just a packet of marlboro here cost around £5.00 there expensive!

i mean a 10 box but a 20 box well packet costs around £280 odd. :(

a packet of crisps in the UK is all you'd get for a dollar or a small bar of chocolate or a local newspaper but only one of those things.

In the U.S. a pack of Marlboro reds cost almost $4. Wow! that is crazy...a soda can cost from 25 cents for an off brand to 75 cents. You could probably get some candy like bubble gum, or something. Or go to the dollar store, but even then there is 5 cent tax...you can not get much for a dollar in America.
