To MY "Friends" ** Rating Photos

To all My Friends on My Lot. I think we earn from having our photos rated. This should include photos included with a discussion, AND, the photos we put up on our individual page. Am I right? Anyway, I thought I would go through all my friends and rate their photos. I am hoping they can do the same for me. I will start with friends who regularly or occasionally respond to my discussions. As this will take some time, if you have a lot of photos I will rate just 5 each for now. Hope you can do the same for me? Thanks.

I didn't put any photos on my profile , when I first started here mylot said they didn't pay for personal photos on your profile so thats why ...as for the other photos we add to discussions or intersts they do pay us. I have only earned a penny for each ... I can't read the comments that people have left or maybe they haven't left comments ..but the photos were rated as I got paid for them ...I am curious also if they pay more for photos with comments myself ...still such a gray area here at mylot ...lol ...oh well its still all fun ... so my profile no phots hope that saves you a little time in looking ...have fun looking at everyones profiles though some are quite awesome to see :D

I placed photos on my page immediately only for the reason it asists in people who visit my page get to possibly know a little more about me. I feel a photo thats posted by a member shows some type of interests they have. So that's why I love people whom post photos on their pages here. Happy posting.

How is this working out for you? Have you checked to see? I posted to one of your pictures, and instead of my avatar, the green ghost came up with my comment? Is this something that may be against the myLot guidelines, to agree to rate each others' pictures?

It is well worth a try. I have not been uploading, so I guess it is time to drag out the camera, and the photos and post. I know early on I had some attached to a discussion about travel, and about some others. I may find them so people can rate them.

I don't think we earn from the pictures on our profile page but we do with the ones on discussions and the ones we upload to our interests. But I think if people rate our pictures, this may count towards our user rating but I am not totally sure how that works. So it probably does help in some way to rate the photos. I try to rate photos but I sometimes forget. I will try harder from now on.

I rated your photos, 5 of them I think. I didn't write comments, as that would take too ,long at this stage. Loved your dog pics.

I have another friend that has mentioned this and I have not seen any effect on my picture earnings. Would be nice if we were definitively told this. Of course it does not hurt and when I next make it to the library I will do so also. Dial up cannot handle some of my friends' pages with music and such on them. Appreciate this effort from you, team work is a grand thing and whatever we can for each other is to be commended. Thanks my friend!!

I rated 5 of your photos. I am on dial up too, and it makes for slow work sometimes on My Lot.

I do that now (I did yours of the flower) but as I would have to pull up every old discussion to see which ones had photos it would be too time consuming. I you could see which ones had a photo noted on them then I would go back. That may be an idea for myLot to identify discussions/responses with photos

I rated the photos on your profile, although I can't remember how many there were now, but it would have been up to 5.

I am just too confused on this one - twice my friends have told me they have rated my photos (like you did yesterday) but i never receive any credit for them - and few of my friends tell me they do.. Please do let me know if anyone figures this out.

Yes Jenny, you are correct. Mylot also pays for photos and images uploaded here, if friends visit and rate them properly. I have seen many friends here earning more through images than discussions. So please upload your photo images etc here we will visit and rate them as per quality. Be sure ... Ok.

I too have recently learned about posting photos & earning cash for them. As I also undersatand it you earn cash for photos posted everywhere except the profile page. And when I place comments on friends profile photos I too get the dreaded green ghost with a zero rate next to my name. I have yet to find out what that means. I've also started to rate my friends photos in their profile & their topics etc. Just to inform some who may not know you need to have earned 500 posts in order to post photos. Also for the newbies you must have 100 posts before you earn a star rating or post links. Thanks for the post & have a greta time posting/replying etc here at myLot. I know I will as I'm Bob & I'm a myLotaholic. HAHAHAHA.

I am not entirely sure how photos work. I thought the photos on our personal pages didn't earn anything-- although I don't know whether or not positive ratings there might contribute to our star ratings. I know that photos I have uploaded to topics earned a little money on the day I uploaded them... but not since then. Whether we get anything extra for our photos being rated and commented on, I don't know. I'll be interested to see what other people say about this.
