framed poem - the poem I created for my boyfriend

Writing poems has been one of the sweetest things I've ever done for my boyfriend. Oh well, I only get to be poetic if am in love or have fallin out of love. I remember the first time I grabbed those poetic words and stuffs was when I was yet in high school and desperately getting over a st*pid relationship. But for the last time, it's a little different... oh well, it's because I can feel love everywhere. It was a couple of days before valentines, and of course my inspiration for that poem was my boyfriend. I had it printed out with our picture as the background and framed for a valentine gift. He was then surprised and amazed with that present as it was really personalized, not just anything that you can easily grab in the store...and he knows also that writing poems wouldn't be too easy if you don't have the feelings. So he felt like a little flattered for being the subject of my masterpiece...:)

One of the first poems I wrote for my hubby..on a - One of the first poems I wrote for my hubby..on a satin scroll
That is a very sweet thing to do Rexy, I've been writing poems since long. The last one I wrote was in the middle of the night titled "When I sat down to write a poem"..lol I've written many for my husband and the book I published, has all the poems I've written. During our wedding I gave my hubby a satin scroll with a poem I had written for him printed on it. Check the pic. My hubby is always looking forward to my poems, he simply loves every single one I write!:)

Not to bum anyone out, but my last poem was written to a baby I lost in my first trimester. I wrote him a poem to help me cope with the loss. Honestly I was never able to finish it. I don't write poems all that often. Wrote one for my husband when we were married that we placed on our program... that was fun. Also wrote one for my duaghter when she was a baby... should probably do the same for my son. ;)

The last time I wrote a poem was only last week it was in a poetry competition. Sometimes I find it very easily to write a poem it depends on my mood at the time. Oh that sounds such a wonderful valentines present for your boyfriend I do hope that he liked it. I think the more that we can give something personal of course it means a lot more than something that someone else made.

I find that I often compete for the infamous $10,000 prize at poetry.com. I have entered a local contest, which I won, but the only prize was having it printed in the local newspaper. No glory there, as I had been published before. :-) I just always keep my eyes open for opportunities to display my talent. I wish you the best of luck in your poetry endeavors, and maybe someday we'll compete against each other!

For me, writing poem is a way where you can freely express what you feel eventhough not for the one you love.. A s i remember, the last time i wrote a poem was during my college days, 1 year ago.. And it was written for someone who i regret that i don't express what i truly feel.. I don't tske the risk to love him, and it's too late that i do realize that i love him, the moment that he's not mine.. In this poem, i express all my feelings, feeling of grief, the time i had take him for granted, and the hurt that what you could only do was to cry..

I last created a poem on Thursday (Feb. 23) for my Dad for his birthday! I love writing poetry. I am more motivated to write more by everday occurences as opposed to love or romance. I have a few published poems on Poetry.com. And I have had one of poems published in a local newspaper. But that's about all the glory that I have received over my poetry. I love the feeling I get when my efforts are recognized! For example, my dad and I don't get along too well. No matter how hard I try to do something to make him proud, he just will never break down and let me know I am doing a good job or that he is proud of me. If I email him, he will have my mother call me to see what I am needing, as this is how he perceives me. However, when I wrote the poem for his birthday, he not only replied to the email, he actually called me (not something he does very rarely!). He was so impressed and wanted to know how long it took me. I told him just a little while (3 hours to be exact!). He said it would have taken him weeks to accomplish such a feat. He said ehile he was impressed that I made it rhyme, he was more impressed with the rhythm. WOW! He actually "got" me for once. Anyway, just thought I would share!

Thanks so much for the vote of confidence. It seems that through the years we both built up barricades from each other. Since I lost my daughter two years ago, I have tried to tear down both barricades. I hope that he and I can get back on good footing. :-) THanks for best response! :-D

I wrote a poem for a special friend about 2 years ago. When I was in high school I was pretty good at writing. My teacher even had one of my poems published in a poetry magazine. That was many years ago and the poems are not as easy to write as they used to be.

Writing poem...that's the memeory long long ago, when I was young.:) At that time, I have a small personal homepage, and some real friends on the net. Romanticism and aestheticism once are my favorite styles. Goethe, maybe his poem should be belong to preromatic period. Shelley, Tithonus, Rossetti... Hi, Rexy, thank you for reminding me of some sweet memory.

The last time i composed a poem was this month, Feb, and i titled it Church and the government. Its all about how the two works together being two different bodies. Sometimes the people in the government feels that the church does not play any part, but the two backs up one another.

The last time I wrote a poem I think that it was just for myself because I got an idea in my head and felt creative. But I have written friendship poems before, and I would certainly write love poetry if I had someone to write it for. In fact, I did feel quite moved to write something awhile back, because I got this line stuck in my head about this guy that I like, but I didn't get around to writing the rest of it. It's been years since I wrote a poem or a song, but I might still write a poem again someday because I still have this persistent line of a poem stuck in my head that I'd like to add more to, lol.

The last time I wrote a poem was for a friend that was killed when he was 10. He was shot. It has been a long time since and I haven't really written anymore since then. It was so hard to write and talk about that I just needed to get my feeling out on paper.
