meeting both families for the first time...

How will you/ did you feel when your family decided to meet the family of your girlfriend for the very first time? Were you like scared, uneasy, or excited? In my case, my parent, grandmom, and aunt decided to meet my girlfriend's family in their province. At first I didn't feel anything really special, but when I was already in the car while my father was driving heading to my girlfriend's hometown, I just felt anxious but still excited...mixed emotions, should I say... but thanks God, everything turned out fine when we reached there. My parents and her parents had a nice talk. And I was happy we took the risk of having both our parents meet as early as now coz that would somehow establish a good relationship between our families. What about you??? have you had any special feelings during those times when your parents met your partneer's parents for the first time???
