Has a doctor ever misdiagnosed you?

My doctor tends to misdiagnose me a lot. He told me I had a bladder infection when I went in for stomach pains and when it wouldn't go away with antibiotics I saw another doctor that told me there was no infection at all. Why do doctors jump to conclusions without actually doing any tests? Are they not responsable? Has this ever happened to you?

Uh oh, then you should really think about changing your doc. Luckily I haven't had any such experiences and our family doc is a good one. Sometimes docs suggest medication suspecting a particular misfunction. If you are doubtful then it's always good to take the opinion of more than one doc.

I hope my doc is right about the strep throat I supposedly have right now. I don't want to die yet or lose a lung or something.

Some doctors are just out for the money and will keep telling you things just to keep you coming into the office.Every time you go to see a doctor whether you have a copay or not they make money from your insurance company.

Yup, i have some weird form of eczema that was slightly infected on the skin around my eyes, and the doctor i went to maintained there was nothing wrong, and went i pusehd him for an answer saying there clearly was, since my skin wasn't normally like that, he said it was an alleric reaction ot my eye make up (which i'd been fine with for like the past year!) and then finally decided it was acne! Around my eyes!!! He gave me some crappy cream, which didn't work, and made it worse, so i went to the drop in centre where the nurse diagnosed me straight away and gave me some cream that worked within a few days. Fecking docotor!
