I used to do a lot of sewing and would buy a lot of material when it was on sale now I have a lot of material left in the drawers as I haven't been doing any sewing in the last 5 yrs.I hate to throw it out but have no idea what to do with it.I tried selling some at a yard sale very cheap but I guess nobody wants to sew anymore. does anyone have any good Ideas about some small projects that would use some of it up.I have a lot of jogging suit material

How about donating it to your local Senior Citizen center. They are always getting togerher and doing quilts and lap quilts for the elderly care center. You could use the donation as a tax write off and you would be helping ohters at the same time.

I already tried the local senior Center here ,We live in a small town and there is only about 10 seniors in the home mostly women and say they have done enough sewing and don't want to do any more. But next time I go to the city I will take some in with me and see if they will use it

I have seen people selling fabric on eBay. A friend of mine sold lots of her old fabric. Check it out.

Why not call a local church and ask if their women's group would like to have it. Many churches have groups that make quilts, potholders, baby clothes, etc. all the time, and I know they are always looking for free or inexpensive materials.

Oh how happy I am. I have exactly the same problem all these projects I might do one day. Really over a period of time the fabrics will deteriorate. Ive started donating some to charity shops. The local schools are always happy to take it as well for the kids projects. That way I dont feel its gone to waste.

I have the same problem but have given up thinking that I'm going to do anything with my fabrics anymore. At one time I thought I might make a quilt top as one way to get rid of some, but that fell by the wayside, as well. I've even gotten rid of all my patterns, so that takes care of that! It will eventually get to a charity to do something with it all.
